Jacksonville Daily Record: City Council Finance Committee passes BCBS intersection ordinance

You have to be on your toes at all times with this city council and city government.   Here is yet another bill that should never have passed making it through the finance committee and probably headed to the full council for a vote (more letters and phone calls required), but it made it through the finance committee as another of those public-private partnerships which is isn't.  John Cresimbeni was the only vote against it (we need to thank him for remembering the taxpayers and his…

City Council - Where are they?

Well, it's 4:15 on a Friday afternoon, I called my District Councilman, Dick Brown, No answer.

I then called each and everyone of the at-large Councilan, out of all 6 calls, I got 1 answer.

Alison, in Kevin Hyde's office did answer the phone, the rest went to voice mail.

I called to go on record that I was very displeased with the way they "gutted" bills 2011-167,2011-197.

These were the ethics bills that Carla Miller worked so hard to get passed, what the council…

Why Weiner Matters

by: Trent Derr - American Exceptionalism

Ok by now, we’ve all heard about it.  Weinergate.  Representative Anthony Weiner started with denials, followed by hedging,  and finally followed by admission.  All of this seasoned with Weiner’s shocked response to the question regarding whether he was going to resign – “No, I’m not going to resign.”  The guy who has…

You're Cheating on US

It’s 4:00 AM and after tossing and turning since 3:15, I finally could not take it anymore.  I quietly got out of bed and closed the door to the bedroom so my husband could sleep.  My head had been filled with headlines and they were beginning to run into each other creating confusion and chaos.  Much like what is happening in our world today.

The biggest headline of the last few days…

Last Night

If you missed David Beamer, last night, you missed a treat. We learned so much more about Flight93 and the "FREE PEOPLE" on that flight. We also learned that the Flight 93 memorial is behind budget, many of us were stunned to find this out. For more information go to"flight93.org" if you can help, please do.

On a slightly different note, Billie talked about how the Democrats brought in "Community Activist" for the last election, and how effective they were at Getting Out the…

Live Action: Obama Threatens to Cut Off Low Income Healthcare Funds to Indiana if They Defund Planned Parenthood

I assume when Obama does something like this that all that rhetoric about being there for the poor and middle class is just rhetoric.  Really the dumbocraps never really do anything but hurt those groups in spite of what they say anyway!

The man is now going to take away that money to provide health care for the low income folks in Indiana if they dare cut off funding to Planned Parenthood.  Read about it here: …

Daily Caller: Obama defaults to economic blame game

Obama has been blind sided by the bad economic news and although he has been told what plays well to the crowd and what does not, he just could not help himself.  He is now blaming just about everyone, including the people of this country, but refuses to accept the he and his policies are responsible for the mess we are in.  I don't think the man has ever, in his life, taken responsibility for anything.

Read what he had to say yesterday here: …

What would Paul Revere say today?

Sarah Palin issued a strong warning to the USA and the world with a witty reference to Paul Revere’s ride warning that the British were coming.

Here is what both said: We are not surrendering, we have not even begun to fight! You may press on with your invasion but you will never subdue us. We are fiercely independent and armed. We will fight to the last man! American people wakeup and prepare for war all else has failed.

Today, a paradigm shift in America and…

Happy Birthday, Grace

Today is Grace Nealis’ birthday.  Grace is the wife of Dr. James Nealis.

Dr. Nealis was a great supporter of the First Coast Tea Party and was the first speaker at our first tea party on February 27th.  He had a radio show titled “Brainstorm” which was heard on WOKV on Saturday afternoons.

Dr.  Nealis passed away suddenly last month.  His passing was noted on our website and many of us attended his funeral.  He was a great man and we miss him…

Glocks vs Docs Lawsuit

This session the Legislature passed a law prohibiting doctors from questioning patients about gun and ammunition ownership unless that information is necessary to the health or safety of the patient.  Not surprisingly several doctors represented by Brady Campaign anti-gun lawyers have filed a lawsuit.

I was interviewed by  First Coast News about this issue.  The link below is to the news story.

"the far left in this country has, for all practical purposes, already succeeded in fundamentally transforming America",

The following is an article published online at the "Personal Liberty Digest", where I am also a member. It discusses the Constitutionality of many of the "transfer-of-wealth programs" being passed and even more importantly, why is no one challenging this. This is a good read!

TU: Jacksonville council plan: Shorter leash for Ethics Commission

Well, the worst has happened.  The city council voted themselves in charge of selecting members for the ethics commission and giving the mayor a choice and approval for the director as well.  This basically ends any real prospect of a true ethics commission at all since we now have the wolves in charge of the hen house, and I fully expect to see them seat their friends and companions on the commission to stop anything meaningful from…

~ Monkeys & Politicians - A Psychology Lesson ~

I received this in an email from a friend and thought it was too good to not share.

Psychology Lesson

If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then place a set of stairs under the banana.  Before long a monkey will go…

It was held in a church…

And they said it was Bush's fault and Bush's deficit

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011.

Conservative Americans helping like-minded Americans

I must share this and if we, all like minded folks, were to be like this to one another, then we could overcome those that want to run over us.  May 25th my son had my car in Mandarin, it broke down and was pushed into the Mandarin Senior Citizens Center.  After trying for about 2 1/2 hrs to jump it off, we decided at 9:30 p.m. to leave it there until the next day when we could get a new battery.  When we got back the next day at around 5:15, it was gone.  Called the… Continue

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
