And they said it was Bush's fault and Bush's deficit

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th, 2010.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, Unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.

This has to be VERY painful to the dumocrats

To those that are interested, I posted two videos today, one that is of the Dems about the Subprime meltdown and a second one that is a cut from FOX News that details ALL the warnings that "W" and the Republicans gave starting in 2001 that the problem was coming. Thanks to the alphabet networks, their allies (cohorts in crime?), they get away with this game that they play to destroy our country.

Barnie Franks not only called him down, but he doubled down on making loans that did add to the problem, and now to hear him speak, you would think he was clueless and totally obsolved from any involvement.   Typical democrat doing the typical democratic thing.  These folks have to be gone totally.  They need to do some sole searching and try to figure out what country they are from and what type of economic system we have.  Certainly the one they are in favor of does not work or our economy would be roaring right now..............and geez, it isn't!!!!  Socialism does not work and has not in any country where it has been tried even when it was tried here before our constitution!  People starved because those who take advantage refused to work but always had the biggest baskets to collect their rewards as part of the share of other people's labors.

Amen Patricia,

You are exactly right!! Not only did the Dems create the budget problems that we now face, but they also created the Subprime disaster that kicked our entire economy into the gutter as well. They did this through "The Community Reinvestment Act" that passed under the Carter Administration.

This act, forced banks and other lenders to finance a certain number of non-viable loans to people that couldn't afford to pay them back. These loans were "backed" by Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac (read here, we the tax payers) which led to huge bailouts for both of them.

The following link will take you to a YouTube video of a 1998 PBS interview Bill Clinton where he is bragging about the additional funding that his admin pushed through via the CRA;

G "W" Bush called, I believe at least four (4) times during his admin for the lending at Fannie and Freddie to be investigated. But, he was shouted down by the likes of Rep. Barnie Franks and told that all was good. Yeah, right!!! By the way, at this time, Barnie was living with the head of Fannie Mae who was drawing down millions of dollars in bonus money for the "great" job that he was doing there.

Check out the video.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
