Because of union notification requirements and a 30 million dollar shortfall in the budget, all teachers working in Providence, RI will be pink slipped before March 1st (indicating their last day of employment will be the last day of school). Providence needs this flexibility to determine what action to take once the final…

I had heard this yesterday on a news program in an interview of one of the Wisconsin state senators who is refusing to vote on the bill in the senate to limit union bargaining and force unions to pay more towards health care and retirement accounts. The senator indicated they needed to settle this and let these teachers get back to work.
But the senator isn't the only one. The U. S. Department of Education says Two-thirds of the eighth graders in Wisconsin public schools…

This should give anyone pause, and certainly since I remember hearing that Obama was replacing many people in positions of authority with liberals who thought like he did through out the government (and they all belong to the union), I have quite a bit of concern. Certainly it would allow for anyone in those kinds of positions who control departments and various services of the government to totally ignore anyone from anywhere except the executive branch and all the rather scary folks Mr.…

A bill is going through the houses that would challenge the Obamacare mandate by blocking the mandate that requires most people to buy health insurance or face a penalty. Democratic Governor Purdue has indicated she will not sign the bill nor will she veto it, and if she is good at her word, the bill becomes law after 10 days. Purdue indicated she felt the bill was redundant since there is already a lawsuit in the works, but it appears likely to become law in North…

A text message alarm sounded on my cell phone early in the wee hours of the morning. Message: “Iranian Naval ships sail through Suez Canal – first time since 1979”
I read it once and then twice. I put the phone down, buried my head in the pillow and said a prayer that God would keep Israel safe, would show His powers against Iran and would ensure the safety of all of us against the evil of Iran.
Of course, sleep was not to be for the rest of the evening. I…

The Washington Post ran a story on Sunday talking about America’s debt problems. “Oh great, another story about our debt, I can’t wait!” Trust me, I feel the same way considering half of the headlines out there are debt or deficit specific. But we can’t run away from it. We are in a financial black hole that we have never found ourselves in…

Today is one of those obscure American holidays celebrated mostly by government employees and financial and educational institutions. The private sector is probably heading to work on a less crowded highway with hopes of picking up new clients and customers and saving their jobs.

As a nation we have now reached a time when the very basis of our society and form of government is being challenged.
What sets America apart from the rest of the world? Why is the United States of America the most powerful nation in history? The answer to both questions is the same, God’s blessings. We began as Christian Nation based on the Biblical concept of freedom of choice. Our system of government offers each individual the opportunity to pursue their…

Just in case you thought we only made it into the top 10 cities headed for bankrupcy, I wanted you know we have another dubious honor as well. Jacksonville is listed number 5 in the top 10 cities for speed traps. Anyone surprised? I can tell you I am not!

Thirteen colonies each with its own version of Christianity fought with determination, driven by the fear of government (state) controlled religion, for a constitution that would allow individual freedom of worship. Yes, each and every colony recognized the existence of God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit which indwells the Christian life. The battle was over ecclesiastical accession, which version of Christianity was best. Every state constitution sought the…

i saw a group of red-shirted teachers' union members storming noisily out of the Clay County School Board meeting chanting in unison "Work-to-the-clock! Work-to-the-clock!"
As a teacher of over 10 years now, I think teachers are of as much value - if not MORE so - as air traffic controllers. And in that spirit of appreciation, i think we need a Ronald Reagan-style leader in Clay county political leadership.
I commend the mature, honest remarks made by…

Putting This In Perspective
The unions spend a lot of money endorsing the candidate that they expect and demand will favor unions at the negotiation table. At negotiations with the politicians is when they collect on the endorsement money they put out at the elections. The unions collect dues every payday from the union members. The more members they have the more money they collect and the more money they have to endorse favorable candidates when elections come…

Please take the time to read and act.
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.
I'm asking each addressee to forward this email to a…

I am a professor at UNF engaged in research for a book, my seventh, on the Tea Party movement. I have the assistance of FreedomWorks, the Club of Growth, Congresswoman Bachmann and other Tea Party leaders and activists in the country. I am focusing upon successful Tea Party campaigns during the 2010 mid-term elections. One of the campaigns I want to feature in my book is that of Rick Scott and Marco Rubio. I would like to interview Tea Party leaders and activists who were instrumental in…

I am uploading several videos, but I am still a newbee and not sure how they get posted to public view.
The question in the group I was in was: "How do you make decisions?"
I help Dawn Holder at events and often do videos and will post some here if acceptable.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
