Happy Presidents’ Day: Buy a towel in their honor

Today is one of those obscure American holidays celebrated mostly by government employees and financial and educational institutions.  The private sector is probably heading to work on a less crowded highway with hopes of picking up new clients and customers and saving their jobs.

Presidents’ Day was originally set aside to honor the birthday of our first President, George Washington.  Then someone said Abraham Lincoln was a great President too and we needed to honor him.  And then what about the other great Presidents – they needed to be honored too.  So as in all good thoughts that come from Washington, DC we wanted to be politically correct and we called the day Presidents’ Day.  Now all Presidents are honored even if they were not great.  This is a prime example of the unintended consequences of being politically correct.

Now let’s take it one step further.  Instead of spending time with Presidents’ Day parades, family celebrations and dinners in honor of these great men, our country chooses to celebrate this day with shopping for towels, furniture, clothes or whatever you can find at the Presidents’ Day sale at the mall.

This scenario reminds me of December when Christmas and Hanukkah were celebrated and then we needed to make sure we added in the Mahayana Buddhists Enlightenment of Buddha, the Muslim Hajj & celebration of Eid al Adha and then we finish off the month with the African American spiritual and cultural celebration of their African heritage. And don’t forget the shopping trips to the mall for the end of the year sales.

Ah yes, political correctness.  These two words have eroded the foundation of our country more than any other two words uttered by mankind.  Political Correctness should be defined by Webster’s as:  “The decision to bend to the whining of others instead of remaining principled and steadfast to our American heritage, beliefs and core values.”

Unprincipled people bend to political correctness and I am happy to report that those of you in the American Tea Party Movement have had your fill of PC.  We are tired of whining, manipulation, and PC-speak by our government servants, the media, the United Nations, other foreign ‘dignitaries’ and those who are illegally here in our great country.  In other words – “we’re done.”   And, ladies and gentlemen, when the American people are “done” with something, that’s it.  It’s time to back off and leave us alone!

As you head out to the President’s Day sales, declare in your mind that PC is no longer a part of our culture and smile at others as you pass them in the mall.   Smile with the assurance that the American spirit is alive and well and back in full force because a little tea was stirred into the culture.

Support your local merchants, buy American (if you can find anything American-made) and pick up a few towels to wave.  We’re not throwing in the towel but instead we will wave it at the next Tea Party Rally.

To honor Presidents’ Day – stop by the grocery store and pick up a small birthday cake.  Ask them to write on it – “Happy Birthday George.”  Let’s get back to the real meaning of this day and that was to celebrate the FIRST President of the United States.  Remember, we’re not PC anymore!  Bring it home and share with your family the original intent of this day.  Sing Happy Birthday George and salute this Great President who had the will and courage to stand against the powers to be, lead an army of disgruntled men, give up his personal life for a time being to save the Republic and was not afraid to pray for our nation.  Now that’s what I call a Great President!

As part of your celebration, watch this video with your family.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2FSLN1lbhU&feature=related  Then end the evening by saying a prayer for the next Great President who hopefully will be in the White House in 2012.  He or she is out there somewhere and we need to be praying for that person now.  Whoever goes up against this sitting President will be subjected to PC-speak and thuggery politics.  That’s okay – the FIRST Great President took on the British king and the next Great President can take on the American king.

Don’t forget to pick up that cake and buy your Rally towel at the mall.

Happy Birthday, George!

Just my opinion but to me the holiday is Washington's birthday.  Screw Lincoln, one of the worst presidents ever who caused the loss of over 600,000 American youth's lives.

Here is something else a George Washington towel could serve as a banner for... to warn the American people that national/international labor unions are not even pretending to be politically correct as they bus angry union members in from the Teamsters Union in New York state to Madison, Wisconsin to join and ramp-up the union-backed war being waged there by a union that is fighting to retain and continue its collective bargaining rights on behalf of Wisconsin public employees.  The unions are engaged in attacks against the Republican-controlled WI State Legislature and the state's Governor to block passage of a bill that would seriously alter or eliminate collective bargaining for public employees.  Realizing what's coming down the pike for them in Wisconsin, Florida, Minnesota and other states that are considering the right to work option that would eliminate unions and benefit the economies of those states (by blocking the flow of state employees money out of state and into union coffers), unions have ramped up their bullying, intimidation and coercion tactics and gone on a very high-profile, well-funded and publicized offense.  Something tells me George Washington, the first and very best exemplar of a public servant at the highest level of our government, would be on the side of those elected public officials who are striving to do what's best for the citizens of their states in the most trying of economic times.

Read about it at http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2011/02/21/2011-02-21_new_... and ask yourself "What would George do?"  I believe he would do exactly what the highly-principled Governor of Wisconsin is doing, which is standing his ground and standing up for the citizens of Wisconsin and their rig

We find "political correctness" offensive because it is another way by the progressive liberals of saying,"Do as I say and not as I do." They want to foist rules on others, but then they do not follow those same rules. For example, some time ago an atheist complained that he was offended by prayer in the schools, so government banned prayer. Yet, when Christians are offended by attempts to build a Muslim place of worship at ground zero, now Christians are intolerant and must yield to others. It is sheer hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty, and we are all tired of it.

To think about how  our country is eroding daily , makes me so depressed.  Where is the patriotism , pride, and honor that citizens showed for our flag and country in years past? Why do we need to be PC to all the other religions, cultures and illegals that have caused change to  our very roots??  We must take back our country-starting  before 2012- Republicans in Congress must be deligent to  "changing" laws.- Tea Party is our best hope each day as we try to stand our ground  and stop this ridiculus amount of spending - Good luck to the Wisconsin governor -and God Bless America

Happy Birthday to our devoutly Christian first President, George Washington, who had no desire to be a king and control the free speech of American citizens.  In the current political climate, where our freedom of speech is monitored and policed by the self-appointed elititist political-correctness police, our towels could be used as a banner to declare our commitment to reversing President Obama's unconstitutional end run around the U.S. Congress to declare, through the regulatory process, his authority to have a kill switch to shut down the internet, which he will be able to use as a means of controling and blocking our free excercise of our Constitutional right of freedom of speech through---a tool called "net neutrality." This is something George Washington would never desire to do were he here and in office today.

An administrative committee in a federal agency, the FCC, voted by a hair's-breadth majority to grant the President control of whether or not we will have access to and use of the internet.  This is totally unconstitutional and our beloved George would be as opposed to it as we are.  We can do our part by contacting our members of the U.S. Congress, both Senate and House, and demanding a congressional investigation of this unconstitutional executive action by Obama and his administration.  If Obama has his way, we will not be able to read and post to websites like this.  He fears our online communication will block his socialist agenda, his re-election, and his takeover of our democratic republic.  Do it for George... and for all Americans.

Barack:  If you are not brave enough to have your real name on this site, you are being removed as a member.  We do not tolerate being accused of being racists because we are not.

Stalin is the one who started the PC codes and Stalin was a communist.

End of story - you are now removed from our site unless you are really Barack Obama and if so, Happy Presidents Day.  God bless you Mr. President.

Happy Birthday, George!

With the present administration, a towel today would be used for crying. Used to wipe my tears from the results of today's abysmal president.

With the hard work and dedication of today's Tea Party groups, I will wave my towel at rallies determined to restore our Constitution!!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
