ONE YEAR AGO TODAY: SOCIALIZED MEDICINE BECAME LAW

Today is the one year anniversary of the take-over of our healthcare

We were going to write a blog about this anniversary and as we began, we saw this article in the Wall Street Journal.   This article says it all.  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704662604576202203050...

Pelosi’s gavel will go down in history as the gavel that brought socialized medicine to America.  She will not be viewed well in history books nor will her counterpart – Harry Reid.

And above all, President Obama, the leader of the free world, will be held responsible for taking away our healthcare freedom of choice.

One year ago today, shame entered the halls of Congress.

We expect this new Congress to clean it out and right this wrong!

Who is Buddy?  Anyone know him?  I suspect there are a few Michael Moore Koolaid drinkers who've infiltrated our group.  I suppose all can join but the Tea Party is not a communist advocacy group.

One more quick thought...

Isn't it odd that socialists covet Marx and Engel's scientific outlook on society. But overlook Darwin's influence. Marx stated, that Darwin’s work is most important 'and suits my purpose' in that it provides a basis in natural science for the historical class struggle. It's possible that even Marx would shy away from Darwin's survival of the fittest or Natural Selection, if he had Universal Heath Coverage.

Agreed... our Federal Government does a very fine job with their employee's health and retirement funds. SO ANSWER ME THIS... Why was Social Security returned to the general fund instead of being left with the government retirement funds that owns a majority of the stock in the Fortune 500 companies... leaving our elderly to wait on the next available taxpayer?

People like Buddy have no concept of the damage that the regurgitation of socialist propaganda has on a society. That's just the way it was taught to him.

THIS COMES FROM HAVING LEADERS INSTEAD OF REPRESENTIVES.

This brings new meaning to the phrase, "never has so many owed so much to so few".

In the world of Keynesian Economics, the Federal Reserve, Fractional Reserve Banking and a robust Progressive Income Tax... Debt and Universal Healthcare makes perfect sense. Administrators agree... Broke is only a phenomenon suffered on the individual, not the collective.

Ever considered what the FairTax would do to that system?

Armando, what really disturbs me, HOW many people are actually aware of child insurance in Florida?

How about the Hospitals, numerous in our country that turns down NO CHILD?

Comment by Armando Delgado on March 23, 2011 at 6:42pm

One of the biggest fallacies promulgated by the progressive propaganda is that health insurance saves lives. The people and organizations that provide health care save lives, and ability to pay is rarely an issue, especially in life threatening situations. Unfortunately, the socialist propaganda is so pervasive that many Americans are not aware of what's real any more.

ObamaCare, if not repealed, will destroy the best health care system in the world. The only way that health care costs can be lowered under the Obama plan is by cutting services. That is the bottom line. Of course, you can't have a 2000 page law without a lot of other hidden agendas that open the door to loss of freedom and choice further down the road.

After web searching 46,000 deaths in America, i come up with a unverified REUTERs report, a report 36,000 die of flu each ear,  18,314 die from not having preventive services, 46,000 from lung cancer from smoking, 46,000 die in motor vehicle accidents in the USA each year... should not we be looking at the sources and questioning the data for obvious reasons?

HEY BuDDy... i can not keep my health care that we had in 2010 because of the new laws. What *TWiLiGHT ZONe* are you living in?

My kids were insured because they were in college until they were 26 years old. Medicare and Social Security are paid into, so do not even go there. It is the people who can not work that are dragging  this country down. Many organizations who support the indigent can not do so because of the new laws, taxes, mandates, el etc., even FLORIDA has a child insurance law.

Quit the progressive liberal lies of class warfare, race warfare and all the hate and fear mongering of the progressive liberals. You want to live in a socialist/ marxist country go to Cuba, Europe, Canada, South America, but leave our country alone.

WHY should people who have worked 24/80 hours a week and who have gone without to build their wealth give their hard earned dollars to many who do not frankly give a damn?

Socialism, Communism, Marxism always fail because the government eventually runs out of money to spend! Are you aware that Karl Marx NEVER WORKED A DAY IN HIS LIFE?

Go read our wonderful documents created by some of the most intelligent, knowledgable people in the world and then decide, where in the hell, you would prefer to live?

We are a very exceptional country and our founding fathers' knowledge, foresight, principles, values, religion are the reason WHY.

GOD BLESS AMERICA...

just for your wee notes a Canada citizen had to be rescued by a hospital in America to give them the right to have their wee son die at home. PRINCIPLES and VALUES.

We the people.

46,000 people die in the US every year because they can’t afford preventive medical care!!

Our Federal Government does a fantastic job with their employee retirement and medical plan. Why can't they do as good with ours? They have the best health care and they get to retire at age 55 after only 30 years of service with 80 percent of their pay. Obama has sad over and over, “if you already have good health insurance you can keep your current health plan if you want to”. His plan will insure the 50 million people that can’t afford the high cost of health insurance. Obama did not promise universal healthcare - merely more affordable options. What we want isn't free health care, just affordable health care.

If you lost your job got sick or became disabled and you couldn’t come up with a $1000 + a month for health care, like millions of other Americans, I guarantee you would then talk out of the other side of your mouth. . If you had to put a loved one into a nursing home at a cost of $4000.00 a month, would you sell their home, your home or would you go begging to Medicaid for help “a program of medical aid designed for those unable to afford regular medical service and financed by the state and federal governments”? See, you could be a Socialist and not even realize it!!!

There are necessities that we all need to survive and remain alive. Some of these necessities are Food, Medical, Prescription Drugs, Transportation, Housing and Fuel. When greed sets in, EVERY CEO, CFO, and major executive want to draw millions in salaries and bonuses. The price of these necessities “due to greed” can get so expensive that the lower middle class and the hard working poor can no longer afford to support their families and sometimes survive. When this happens, our big brother (Fed Gov.) has to step in and take over just like they did with Fannie and Freddie. Some call this socialism. If you or your family can’t afford or fall short of any or all of these necessities, who will you call on to help support your family. We’re the richest country in the world, we should all have the best health care money can buy

Open heart bypass...$125,000 and up.

Cancer treatment..$250,000 and up, bone marrow transplant…$400,000.  Women with breast cancer are dying every day because they can’t afford the high cost of chemo. Chemo could cost over 300,000 dollars. Look at the current healthcare system in the USA; it has one of the highest death rates of kids aged under five in the western world. It’s so sad that the Far Right Loons could care less.

A young teenager down the street from me was in a car accident and died after 9 days in a comma. Her mother got a bill for $925,000. Her Mother lost her home and her life savings. This could happen to you. Now, if you work or retire from the Fed.Gov. with lifetime medical, you don't have to worry; the hard working taxpayer will pay your medical bills for you.

Hopefully it will bring the cost of healthcare down...this includes the overpaid salaries of surgeons/physicians and pharmacist, which does it part in skyrocketing healthcare cost.

Don’t listen to the health care propaganda that those Far Right Loons like Fox News Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh spew. They have the ability to brain wash their far right listeners.

I asked this question Soda not long ago, here are a few of the answers. “If you live in Canada, England, Germany, or France would you even consider trading your healthcare plan for our healthcare plan in the US”?

Never ever ever.
I'm Canadian, and people can bad mouth social medicine all they want, but my family and I have always received quality health care without having to wait a long time.

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell I would give up my healthcare... Canadian

No way! (Canada)

I live in England i wouldn’t swap the NHS for anything.it is great

I am a Canadian citizen working in LA. But if I could not afford decent medical insurance I certainly would return to Canada. In a heartbeat. When I retire I will definitely be returning because Canadian medicare for seniors is so much better there it is not funny.

German. I pay my taxes every year and have never paid for any medical treatment I received (had several operations). I am 45 years old now and do not mind paying the tax, because I know that I am cared for (for free) when I need any medical treatment or medication.

I live in Canada and love the health care. No I would not change it with US health care.

Canadian...Wouldn't consider it for a minute...

Again, we are the richest country in the world; we should have the best health care and the best retirement plan for everyone.

PS…I don't like Obama any more than you.. Try thinking of someone with less for a change, you might like it.

Unfortunately, ultra-liberal Marxist academics seem to be writing the history books lately, you never know, in twenty years, history books may well hail Obama, Pelosi, and Reid as the persecuted and misunderstood second coming...
