Is there a Bad Moon Rising over America?

As the computer readied for another day of activism, I wondered what the headlines would carry or what action items we would need to undertake.  Our job is to educate our members about the issues and keep them motivated to contact their representatives.  Someone has to do it and I guess that’s you and me and all our buddies in this movement. 

 

As I pour myself my first cup of coffee, I suddenly hear this Creedence Clearwater song in my head “I see the bad moon arising, I see trouble on the way.  I see earthquakes and lightning, I see bad times today.”   I am reminded of listening to this with my guy in his ’69 Camaro cruising down the road to the beach for a look at the moon and some other things we’ll not discuss here.  The windows were down as we sped along Beach Boulevard, the salt air was warm on our faces and this song played on WAPE, a popular AM radio station.  The words meant something different then than they do now.  They were lighter and fun and today, they are ominous. 

 

I sigh and think, “I wish I could go back in time.”  But that was then and this is now.  This is our time and our place in history.  Like those who have gone before us, it is our time to stand in the gap as an American patriot and do our part to protect and save Liberty.

 

It doesn’t matter if a bad moon does rise over America, He is the one who put it there and He is the one who will take care of us.  He was there in the beginning and He will be there in the end.

I am afraid our Mr. Stephenson is a provocateur. He keeps using those left-wing Tea Party bashing terms "Islamophobe, homophobe, bigot and racist." He wishes to bait us, but does not demonstrate that he shares our value of personal liberty, and small government.

Mr. Stephenson, most of the correspondents in this blog are polite and perhaps affraid of being accused of bigotry. I am neither. So I will tell you what I think. Every one of your postings is intended to irk and irritate this group. You obviously do not agree or believe in the same ideals that we cherish, so why hang around? We are not interested in your religious ramblings or hidden political agenda. Your facts are distorted or presented out of contest just to contrariate. Mr. Stephenson:

I have attached the link to my book "Rock of the Republic" a history of the influence of Christianity on American law. It offers overwhelming evidence that prayer was very much a part of public life and scholastic life for over 350 years. Benjamin Franklin called for prayer at the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Harry Truman stated that we got our laws from Moses on Mt. Sinai and Jesus Sermon on the Mount. In America we have freedom of religion not freedom from religion.

Taxes are one of the many issues facing us as a nation today. Another one perhaps more important to our very survival is Religion.

Thirteen colonies each with its own version of Christianity fought with determination, driven by the fear of government (state) controlled religion, for a constitution that would allow individual freedom of worship. Yes, each and every colony recognized the existence of God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit which indwells the Christian life. The battle was over ecclesiastical accession, which version of Christianity was best.  Every state constitution sought the protection and guidance of Almighty God. I guess that's why the first Congress always opened in prayer, they published a Bible that was to be used specifically in the schools and required citizens to a sign a statement declaring their allegiance to Jesus Christ before they could hold public office. John, stop trying to rewrite our history. If you don't want to be a Christian, don't be. But don't rewrite American history.

The muslim brotherhood are here all over the united states, obama knows it and can't wait for them to build their mosques and live among the rest of us with their sharia law and our own laws until they start blending....who knows.    but I do know that if they want the right to continue their stoning and beating and killing right on our soil.  they are already doing it and get in trouble with our laws right?  so they want their laws right here and don't want us to interfere with our laws.  I know I'm not that articulate, but I'm working and can't articulate well right now.  you know what I mean.

In fact the poll was conducted in May 2010. I agree the uprisings in Egypt and other places in the Mid-East are against authoritarian rule. But the Muslim Brotherhood represents 30% of the vote in Egypt, opposes the treaty with Israel, and supports Sharia Law and Jihad. Since Egypt controls Suez, through which most of the world's shipping flows, the Muslim Brotherhood is a potential threat to US national security.

Mr. Stephenson below is naive if he thinks that Radical Islam is not a factor in Egypt. In a recent Pew poll in Egypt 49% say they favor Hamas, 82% favor death by stoning for adultery, and 85% favor the death penalty for any Muslim who converts to Christianity. Wake up, a bad moon is on the rise.
