Urgent Notice for Duval Citizens; sorry for the late notice.

Elections behind us now the real work begins; together we must hold our elected officials accountable.  Let them not forget that they work for us!

There is no better time to begin, as tonight is the first City Council meeting after the elections in council chambers at 5:30pm.  Make your voice count beyond the election and show a presence tonight in chambers.

Carla Miller, city of Jacksonville ethics officer, has put great effort into laying the foundation for a strong ethics department.  November 23, 2010 the city council unanimously passed a city charter amendment on ethics.

Now, there are two bills, 2011-167 and 2011-197, before the city council to establish an Independent Ethics Compliance and Oversight Office.  Why is this so important?  Currently the ethics office…

Police report filed on stolen Schellenberg signs April 28^th; they were discovered in a retention pond behind the Bealls department store at the corner of San Jose and Orange Picker in Mandarin.  This is the SAME place the signs were found discarded during the primary elections in March.
