Billie's Blog: We made it to DC

We are in DC and the feeling in the air is very different than it was last year.

Last year we were not sure if we should "expose" ourselves as tea party members because no one really knew if anyone else would show up. Last year, people in the hotel elevator were quiet and nice and they kept their "tea party tee shirts" covered up.

This year -- not so much!! As we gathered downstairs to get a bite to eat, bus loads of tea party members were unloading and checking…

Leadership Lessons

As the ground swell of the Tea Party movement since it's start has been a pretty amazing phenom it is very important to keep focused on the goal and not get caught up in where we started and how far it has come, but instead where we are going.

We each have a responsibility to spread the word. That in mind I think this is a video we should all watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW8amMCVAJQ

Billie's Blog: Today we leave for Washington, DC -- AGAIN

I'm proud to be an American - especially today. Hundreds of thousands of great Americans are packing their bags and showing up on the highways, airports and train stations to head to Washington DC once again.

These are our friends and fellow patriots that we did not know 18 months ago. Susie from Seattle, Kellen from NY, Diana from Philadelphia, Amy from Atlanta, Robin from Florida and many, many others from across this country have found each other and are fighting together…

Why do I feel like a nail?

Take a minute (actually almost 3) and listen to this song. For criticizing our rulers he lost his job as a middle school football coach. I hope he makes it up as a singer. I'll buy his album.

EXCLUSIVE: After a Year of Setbacks, U.N. Looks to Take Charge of World's Agenda

This is huge, and must not be allowed to happen. We need to withdraw from this organization and stop giving them money (we are the largest contributor).

Fidel Castro: Cuba's Communism Not Working

I seriously doubt the Obama regime will take heed to this. They only listen to those within their group (and they are all so far out of touch as to be unreal).

Rants & Raves: Mayor's staff salaries excessive

I have to admit when I saw the salaries of people in the Times Union, I wondered why the "administrative assistant" of our mayor made about $50,000 more a year than the commanding officer of the Mayport Naval Station. I wondered what he does that makes him that much more special that he deserves to earn the equivalent of another person's annual wage (and in some cases, many of the taxpayers don't even earn $50,000 per…

Washington: A Large Scale Circus

This is what our nation’s capital has become. In all honesty, the news seems to get more and more ridiculous with each passing day. We have a president who states we need to make “sacrifices” to get through this tough economy, yet he continues to take high-end vacations while hosting numerous White House parties – including the latest one with “bumps and grinds”. He then has the nerve to complain about being “treated like a dog” while he continues to blame every current problem on George…

The Fundamental Transformation of America... because the people said it didn't matter!

Signs for DC Rally

Those of us who will attend the 9/12 rally in D.C. should consider one lesson learned from the Glenn Beck rally August 28. The lack of signs at the 8/28 rally denied members of the media a mode of attack. They were unable to focus on a single sign with an inappropriate message as the message and purpose of the rally. The lack of signs forced the story tellers to dig deeper in an attempt to…

US Dept of Labor: U.S. Department of Labor publishes agenda for September 14-15 joint hearing on lifetime income options for retirement plans

The Obama administration is attempting to find a way to get it's hands on people's retirement accounts now and will sell it as protecting people's retirement investments, but it will most likely start by replacing at least part of the money in 401K and IRAs with government bonds. Confiscation has been mentioned by some news articles, but the government realizes the outcry over that would be…

My Apology

I know there are a lot of disappointed people about the Dartmouth not going to DC this year and I truly apologize for any inconvenience. I was told (by Freedomworks) that Freedomworks was making necessary arrangements but aparenty that was a lie. There is a history to this that you should know from last year, and that I should have paid more attention to before committing to taking the…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
