The Hill: Senate turns back sweeping oil-drilling amendment

This is quite interesting in several ways, but the most glaring is that this president and his cronies in the congress have us on a downward trajectory, and want us to stay there. Should we reach out and do what we should have done years and years ago, and make ourselves energy independent, we would see an economic resurgence beyond any proportion anyone could imagine.............................and that is not what Obama wants. Obama wants welfare, food stamps and entitlement…

TU: PolitiJax: Top Democrat says Senate’s redrawn maps will need more than tweaks

My feeling on this is that democrats would really like to draw districts that all favor them rather than have districts that are fairly drawn.  I think, at this time, we are all sick of this mess which was in part brought about because of the fair districts law that many thought would get rid of gerry mandered districts...........

Senate leaders are wrong to argue that they can make limited changes to a redistricting plan that was found…

TU: Duval may face fierce competition for high-caliber superintendent

When I read this headline, my first thought was "so it is going to cost us more to get a new superintendent than we expect?" and sure enough, once you read the article you realize, you need to get a good grip on your wallet (as someone will soon be reaching in to take more of your dollars).

TU: PolitiJax: City Council trying to bridge gap for Mayport ferry

You will have to weigh in on this.  I favor some sort of temporary solution until a permanent one can be found to keep the ferry in operation, but I know others feel differently about who should do it!

March 13, 2012

A Jacksonville City Council panel trying to keep the St. Johns River Ferry in business is looking closer for grants that might help bridge its budget gap.

And members said Monday the Jacksonville…

TU: Project aims to draw big crowds to downtown Jacksonville

Something for us to watch for.  This seems like it might be a really good idea, and could become an annual event to draw folks into our downtown.  Now if the parking situation was only different as they might get people to go downtown more often if it didn't break the bank to park your car down there!

Plans for an art and technology festival will be shared today.

Heritage: Strategy Memo Details Liberal PR Plan to Promote Obamacare

They may do a promotion on Obamacare, but they have done them before and failed to get people on board for this horrid piece of legislation. Most certainly, we should know they plan this, and most certainly this health care bill, if you could call it that, needs to be exposed for what it is and that is not health care. It is going to destroy health care as we know it and deprive you of care depending on age etc. which is discriminatory (one of Obama's signature ideas that will…

Frustrated as I can be !

I have tried to contact canidates and whom ever would listen on Obama and his energy issues. But no one will call him out on it. He says he is looking to make algae the fuel of the future, BUT you can no longer purchase 10-10-10 fertlizer because the government has made the manufactures stop putting phosphate in it making it 10-0-10 to stop the growth of algae also he want's the public to start buying fuel efficent cars while he still rides in the beast and is followed by his fleet of…

American Majority Alert: Ask your senator to vote no on Amendment 1782, the Menendez/Burr "Pickens Plan"

This is pretty self explanatory.  This amendment is crony capitalism using our tax dollars to subsidize and choose winners and losers in yet another area.

We are…

Former Hamas-linked CAIR official running for president in Egypt, pledges to "complete the implementation of Islamic law in Egypt"

This should be of grave concern to all of us, because they also plan to implement Sharia law in our country too which is why the group here in Florida was so apposed to the new Law making the use of foreign laws illegal in the state of Florida.  I hope everyone supported our representatives who were trying so hard to get it passed.  This is absolutely scary since sharia is being used by some of the federal judge appointments made by Obama and some of the Clinton appointments are…

New American: The High Cost of Dumbing Us Down

This one is going to make most of us really mad, because what is says is we are wasting money by the truck load and not educating our children but we are propagandizing them (which we already knew).  Sad, and we have all been responsible for allowing this to happen!

Godfather politics: Barack Obama: “Sin is Being Out of Alignment With My Values”

The way he thinks actually totally aligns with his actions.  He is the center of everything and his beliefs are they only honorable and correct ones..............no God, no heaven, no hell, and nothing that passes for the values and beliefs most of us hold.  He is truly an enigma totally alien to the American people as a whole.

Not only does…

Daily Caller: Michelle Obama’s warning to gun owners

This is an older article but it does highlight the absolute reason we can not allow Obama to get re-elected.  Should he get re-elected, chances are very good he would appoint another supreme court justice, and any rights we have would be done away with the challenges to anything the future congress' and presidents implement.  And the supreme court justices would impact our lives for years and years to come and could so dramatically change our country, the only recourse would be…

Shark Tank: DeSantis- “We Need New Blood in Congress”

I am posting this for information about someone who has decided to run in the Sixth Congressional District in our state and the article contains some interesting statements that made me go HMMMM as well as information about this candidate which may be of interest.  The article also contains a statement we all need to consider, that was made by DeSantis, which "caught" my attention is a big way and should catch your attention as well since it is an indication of how far afield we…

TU: Capitol Notebook: Redistricting created complications during legislative session

I am not sure where this goes from here as the house maps were approved, but the senate maps were not approved.  There are 8 districts on the senate maps that are in question and the seats are held by both republicans and democrats.  No mention of where the state and court goes from here.

It’s over.

After weeks of chaos, the state has a $70 million budget, several new laws and newly drawn political maps (sort…

TU: Jacksonville companies might pay for mayor's education initiative

This is a wonderful idea, but the one thing I am not pleased about is that the Mayor doesn't want to name some of the folks involved.  If he is to do this, this has to be done in the sunshine.  I don't think you can have folks involved who may have an agenda or try to have a voice in what is taught or have an ideology be proposed by some unknown entity.  I think if private companies or organizations will be involved then, it must be applied equally to all students in certain…

TU: Mayor Alvin Brown wants to change Jacksonville Economic Development Commission this month

Although I am pleased to see a focus on this group (that has mismanaged millions of dollars) and perhaps even a much needed closer scrutiny of them, I am somewhat taken back that the Mayor wants control over one more group.  This is a continuing theme for this mayor, and he seems to want absolute control over everything which is worrisome to me.   I don't want the city council to end up like our elected representatives have in congress under the current president where he…

WND: Our choice: Impeachment or dictatorship

We have all known I think that this should happen, and many of us wondered why it didn't.  Certainly, I understood the democrats in the senate would not do impeachment hearing for anything but theatre, so the republicans avoided pushing the issue, but now, after Panetta's statements, they may have little choice and senate involvement in a serious way could actually happen, and I hope and pray it does.

Gateway Pundit: THIS IS BIG… Shady Group That Made Illegal Calls to “Red to Blue” Districts HAS SUSPECTED LINKS TO DCCC or DNC

This story is still developing, but I am going to post what is available at this time.  This is really, as the title says, BIG.  This sort of thing should be squashed immediately as the folks doing it are doing it illegally and right now, the suspects are the DCCC or DNC as there are links back to them.  The democrats are clearly trying to make birth control the only issue for this upcoming election, and it would be sick for people to consider only this issue and look past the…

president Obama's "Truth Squad" is about as far from truth as it gets.

Just in case none of you are signed up for the Obama truth squad, you have to read some of these.................they are so removed from the truth, you will, I am sure, be quite surprised at the boldness of the lies.  He has no shame at all.

ACLJ: Obama Administration Must Follow the Law – No Taxpayer Funds for UNESCO

I am so glad.  I would like us to stop giving any money to the UN at all since most of the tyrannts and dictators who belong to the UN now don't pay anything and the US all but supports these folks (besides having these encroachers home office in New York).

Today, Jay Sekulow, ACLJ Chief Counsel, sent a letter to…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
