A text message alarm sounded on my cell phone early in the wee hours of the morning.  Message:  “Iranian Naval ships sail through Suez Canal – first time since 1979”

I read it once and then twice.  I put the phone down, buried my head in the pillow and said a prayer that God would keep Israel safe, would show His powers against Iran and would ensure the safety of all of us against the evil of Iran.

Of course, sleep was not to be for the rest of the evening.  I was in a hotel room, away from home and without the familiar sounds of my husband next to me.

As I tossed and turned, I flipped the television on to see what else was being said.  I could not find much about Iran but Libya was in the news with the blood of people in their streets; an earthquake in New Zealand; the Wisconsin Governor threatening to layoff public workers; Detroit shutting down half of the public schools; and a special discussion about organized labor and how it might be a thing of the past.

One big hint:  Don’t turn on the television if you want to sleep!

I sat in bed flipping the channels looking for something to give me hope.  Not much hope to be found on tv as I flipped through channel after channel.  How could we have so many channels and not much hope to be found there?

I threw the covers off and went to the computer looking for something to make me feel better.  I always head to youtube and I look for some music to smooth my soul.  I usually put in a word and I see where it takes me through youtube land.   I started with the word “sleepless” and it led me from one place to another and to another.  As I began to feel sleeply again, I landed on “My Sweet Lord.”

The soothing sounds of My Sweet Lord assured my soul that today is another day, My Sweet Lord is in charge.  No matter what the headlines might read or the television anchors might be talking about – My Sweet Lord is looking over us and He is going to fix it all.

Iran may send warships through a canal, earthquakes can happen, people may die in the streets, workers my riot, schools might shut down, and changes may occur before I see My Sweet Lord but knowing He is there and He is watching over me helps me make it through another day.

Listen to My Sweet Lord before you leave your home today.  As you go about your day, keep these simple words in your head and feel the sweetness of goodness and love in your soul.

The text messages and the headlines may put fear in your soul but knowing My Sweet Lord gives you the hope to carry on.

No matter how bad things seem, if we give God control, he will take care of it!

We do have to be still and know that He is God, and He is in control. Please God save the USA.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
