The Tea Party office phone was ringing off the hook yesterday. People were calling as they expressed their dismay and unhappiness over the vote on the Financial Reform Bill.

We also heard from a CFO of a local well-known, “home grown” restaurant company that expressed dismay over new regulations from the healthcare bill. She had just received information from the IRS regarding new policies about W2’s and 1099’s. These new policies were impacting the Accounting Department with a new set of regulations and a lot more work for her and her staff. She said, “This is ridiculous and do you know how long it will take us to manage the new IRS requirements?”

She had no idea who to call or what to do – she felt alone with her pain and her frustration. We told her we understood her pain and she hung up after finding out how to become a tea party member.

The Tea Party organizers across the country feel that way today. We have done everything we can to respectfully ask our Senators and Representatives to listen to We the People. The refuse to do so and yesterday, once again, they threw the American people their middle finger and voted for Non-Financial Reform.

This bill is as bad as it gets and Americans will once again be fooled into believing it is a good thing. Don’t be fooled by their “we want to ensure this economic tragedy never happens again in America.”

Really? If that is the case, then they should have fired themselves and left town. Had they done that, it would have ensured Americans this economic tragedy would never happen again!! They caused this mess and now they are pretending as if they are saving us from it. Bull hockey!! You know better and we know better and that’s why the Tea Party Movement is here to stay. We are not going away and we are not going to stop holding them accountable.


George Washington was a great leader and he lost many battles. His people were fatigued. He was losing steam himself. He wanted his life back. He wanted to go home and farm. But he didn’t. He stood together with his men and kept fighting against all odds. And, because he did, we were handed a free America and the opportunity to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.


Our job is to continue George’s job. We hope you will stay the course, get involved, rise up, donate your time, energy, talents and money to the great cause of fighting for freedom in the Tea Party Movement.

Wall Street lobbied to have legislation passed that has no details included! That doesn't make sense right now. The legislation has no details written and allows the FED and TSEC to impliment rules and penalties without any congressional oversight required! I don't see the dems giving up any power--but did they?

I have respectfully given my input (when I can get through) to Senator Nelson's answering system. I have better luck getting through to the local Jacksonville office but this week my message to him was that I was confident I was wasting my time and long distance money even trying to encourage him to vote against this despicable Financial Reform Bill - made me ill to see Chris Dodd and Barney Frank pushing it - but that I was a Florida voter and would do everything in my power to vote him out of office. I said, respectfully, that I am a retired Navy veteran and ashamed of his voting record, especially since Harry Reid and Barack Obama have been reigning. Oh, well.

The real shame besides Brown's defection is that our own agenda driven Senator Nelson WILL NOT LISTEN TO US! As a result, Lynne has no one to call! I continue to wonder if he considers us important or Harry Reid knows what button to push. Nelson reminds me of the little doggie in the back window of cars!
