Beginning today - A special session has been called by Charlie Crist to permanently stop drilling off the Florida Coast. Knowing that Charlie is running for the Senate and he's taking all the free press he can get - this does not set right with most of us. This special session will cost taxpayers thousands of dollars and is unnecessary. We already have laws on the books to keep drilling off our coast. To call a special session and spend money now for it is nothing more than using the people of Florida for political swaying.
Since our representatives will be there, we felt it appropriate to use this time to gain traction on other issues. If we are going to spend money, Charlie, then let's use it wisely.
The First Coast Tea Party joins a Coalition of Florida Tea Party activists in email blasts to request Representative Ambler and Senator Dockery’s Immigration bills to be brought up during the special session. Let's talk about immigration while you are there and let's get it done.
Governor Crist calling a special session is a political stunt and a waste of money. Taxpayers are required to pay for the politicians to get to Tallahassee. While they are up there, we are simply asking that the politicians get some work done to save the taxpayer’s of Florida money.
We encourage you to contact your Senator and Representative in Tallahassee and send them the email below. You can find out who your representatives are at this site: http://www.flsenate.gov/Legislators/index.cfm?Mode=Find%20Your%20Le...
Here is the email you can cut and paste. Let's make them work while they are there and not allow Charlie to use our dollars to win votes. He's using our tax dollars foolishly and let's let him know we mean business.
Dear (Senator/Representative):
We are writing you this joint letter today to voice our support for HB 1C, HB 3C, and HB 5C sponsored by Representative Ambler and Senator Dockery. The coalitions below support a fiscally responsible
government. Illegal immigration costs the United States not only
jobs, but 113 billion dollars each year. Florida’s burden of that
113 billion is staggering. It’s time for Florida to stand with Arizona and do the job the federal government refuses to. Please
co-sponsor Representative Ambler and Senator Dockery’s bill and rally the necessary support to bring this up during the special session.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
