We have a leadership failure in DC.  Enough is enough.

Obama’s once again threatened to not send Social Security checks next week was as low as you can go for a President.  Reminder:  He has no right to keep those checks from going out.  The money is there and if it isn’t – “Where did it go?”  Social Security money is taken out of paychecks all across America every day and deposited into a Social Security Trust Fund.  That fund is to pay for all Social Security recipients.  If the money is not there to send checks, then we have a serious crime at the highest level in America.  Can it be that the biggest Ponzi Scheme in history is now unraveling? 

 

We do not expect the President to follow through on this threat and if he does, it will be a defining moment in American history. 

 

We have decided, we like Senator Obama better than President Obama.  See his statements about the debt ceiling:

 

Last night, July 2011, President Barack H. Obama said:

“In the past, raising the debt ceiling was routine.  Since the 1950s, Congress has always passed it, and every President has signed it.  President Reagan did it 18 times.  George W. Bush did it 7 times.  And we have to do it by next Tuesday, August 2nd, or else we won't be able to pay all of our bills.”

 

Five years ago, March 2006, then Senator Barack H. Obama said:

 “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.  It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills.  It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies.  Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally.  Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.'  Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.  America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

 

There isn’t much more for us to say.  Obama’s friends at MoveOn.org and OFA are out in force today demanding that Obama get his way.  Their pre-made signs and paid volunteers will be shouting their demands and it will all be political drama for Candidate Obama.

 

Your action item today is from President Obama himself:  “So I'm asking you all to make your voice heard.  If you want a balanced approach to reducing the deficit, let your Member of Congress know.”

 

To reach your member of Congress, go to www.congress.gov.  Let him/her know that you expect deep cuts to waste, fraud, abuse and foreign entitlements before they raise the debt ceiling.  And, you also want a balanced approach to the deficit.  That would include a Balanced Budget Amendment. (Didn’t Obama say we should ask for a balanced approach?) 

 

Obama wants to change our country to his image of redistribution which is nothing more than Socialism.  He is tracking well to his goal.  Are you going to sit back and let him destroy your personal liberties and the ability to pursue happiness?

 

If you let him continue down his path of change, individual freedom will be gone forever.  Please watch this short video regarding Economic Freedom.  If you don’t believe a strong economy equals individual freedom, you will after watching it.  May God have mercy on the soul of America.

Businesses  have budgets. If they don’t, employees don’t get paid. Every family has  a budget. If spending exceeds income, something has to be cut.

                                 It’s time that Congress and the President live like the rest of us.  Until the budget and deficit problem is fixed, Congress, the President,  and their staffs should not get paid, and that includes their perks.

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama  inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this.  

So once more, a short civics lesson:

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.   

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 & FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 & FY 2011.  In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.  For FY 2009 though, Nancy  Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely,  passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could  take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.  And where was Barack Obama during this time?  He was a member of that very Congress that  passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.  Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period: (see attachment, chart)  If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending.  After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the  budgets.  

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

Ed Koch wrote that he was supporting a Republican in the election to replace the Weiner in Queens.

It was in my opinion a sophmoric piece where he takes a swipe at Obama and all Republicans by again misrepresenting the facts.  Here is my response to an ultra conservative Main Line, Pa. friend:

Ed Koch misrepresents Paul Ryan's position as most Democratic politicans do and the media then repeats the charge and hides behind their source.

  If you recall, Paul Ryan's plan suggest no changes to Medicare ( OLDER FOLKS) and similarly no change in benefits for anyone born before 1955 or something.   Younger folks will be affected but they know the "system is broke" and having a 20 year heads up gives them time to make some

adjustments.  So I think Ed Koch is full of crap there.  Just another way to misrepresent the facts will taking the party line to scare seniors.

 As for Israel the Democrat's have always turned their back on the State of Israel.  Their political strategy is to get in bed with some big Jewish business leaders and buy them off.  Then when they generously donate to their synagogues  their $$$ buys the rabbi's off and the congregation follows in lock step to support in essense that person who supports them their biggest donors.

 Just think about having a "MOVIE THEATER" tax on popcorn and consessions at the theater.  Think Michelle Obama and "OBESITY TAXATION".

   Would not dare of think of implementing that type of TAX however because that is a key donor they need to make their system work.

  Think No More Hollywood Fundraisers!@!!!!

 On the jobs issue Ed Koch seems to overlook the issue with a blanket statement that neither party has done anything to create jobs.  

 This once again goes to his myopic, simple minded and head in the sand political bias.

 Obama Care has been the leading factor in the lack of jobs and the high level of unemployment. 

 Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans to unqualified buyers starter the whole financial mess to begin with.

 Democrat's said yes.  Republicans all said no.

 Democrat's said we needed more Fannie Mae ( Barney Frank) and voted overwhelmingly for Obama Care.

Republican's said no to Fannie Mae and Obama Care.

 So sharing the blame or sharing ED Koch stupidity about who is to blame again diminishes his credibility.    

I would vote for the best conservative representative that will have as their stated message:

     I will help to  "UNDUE THE DAMAGE of the 2008 election"    Jim Ryan

When I faced the "busy signal" in Washington, I call the satellite offices until I get through.  I remember the shut down with the "newt", and it was rather nice.  Things felt lighter.  The difference is that Obumber would enjoy causing pain to americans.  I'm convinced he is an agent of Al-Qaeda (just based on his actions).  He relishes the thought of wrecking our economy (again, based on his actions).  Remember, the only person he has shown fealty to was the King of Saudia Arabia.  He refuses to show deference and respect to the American (U.S.A.) Flag.
