PRESS RELEASE FROM FIRST COAST TEA PARTY REGARDING NAACP RESOLUTION

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE STATEMENT

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Mead

Jacksonville, FL: July 14, 2010 – In lieu of the resolution passed by the NAACP condemning the Tea Party Movement as racist, the First Coast Tea party sadly releases the following formal statement as we stand up for those involved in this great American movement:

Since the inception of the First Coast Tea Party, the group has been explicit that the Tea Party Movement places no labels on anyone and is open to all who share our mission and want to have a voice in America’s future. In fact, First Coast Tea Party founders felt so strongly that all Americans, regardless of religion, gender and race, should be welcomed into the movement, they made the above statement part of the First Coast Tea Party’s mission, which can be found on the ABOUT page of the www.firstcoastteaparty.org website.

By condemning the Tea Party Movement as racist, with no evidence or formal allegations to back this claim, the NAACP has made it clear they wish to divide rather than unite our country’s citizens. At a time when our communities should join together and find solutions to the problems we face such as massive debt, growing unemployment and the oil spill, the NAACP instead spends their efforts, time and dollars writing resolutions.

We have much to do to Restore the Republic to its founding principles. We invite all who want to unite in this effort to join us as we work together to solve problems, hold our political servants accountable to the Constitution and it’s principles and we make a better world for our children and grandchildren to live in where unity prevails and everyone is proud to call themselves an American citizen.

UPDATE-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: After releasing this statement, we were contacted by two local television stations and one has a poll asking if you believe the Tea Party is racist. It would be good for you to take the poll and become a part of the results.

The poll can be found at: http://www.actionnewsjax.com/default.aspx

I understand Pat but it needs to be understood-these are not islolated videos/articles/statements etc.. and it would be a mistake to just dismiss this mindset. Of course, we don't want to do anything unreasonable but to be prepared for "infiltrators" to manufacture a crisis is not at all far fetched. It's what they do. The clip you are referring to and that I posted as an example, was part of the set we have on this site, above this thread. I didn't dig that up anywhere-its right here. After you view the one where several african-americans are being intereviewed, then click on two over and there it is. Democrats, liberals, etc. get their reinforcement from somewhere-likely the same places we do so we cannot just poo-poo the issue. We are saturated with multiple media promoting the TEA party and conservative values. The left is getting that same saturation but what was once leaning toward their ideology and moved into mind manipulation. Remember, the left is very emotional and reacts that way.
I know marketing, power of suggestion and what the lasting effect of seeing these, and likely thousands more like it will do to a person who already thinks that conservatives are bad-after all thier president tells them we are.
Anyone seeing the video knows its fake but that is not the issue. I adore Billie and everyone else who works so hard to make the NE TEA party a success-you guys are free to dismiss it if you choose but just felt it important to give it from a very worldly perspective. I sure hope you are right !! :) Thanks for all you do.

And Carla, I don't know what luny tunes liberal put together that film clip, but no one could look at it and not see it is manufactured for affect. It is clips taken over the years and cut and woven into some sick person's idea of reality when it has nothing to do with reality. I can't imagine any normal person, who knows anything about the tea party people ...even if they have never been to an event, giving it any credence at all.

Harold I had a hard time finding it too! If you go to the link Billie provided, scroll down and the poll is right under where it says OIL SPILL in caps. Once I found it, I didn't know how I missed it................... Oh well, good luck!

I agree Sandy. I still think if you have the truth on your side, why do you have to keep defending yourself. They can use words and insinuation. They really have no proof of any racist actions or remarks unless they themselves generated it.

First they ignored us, which didn't work. Then they ridiculed us, which didn't work. Now they try to intimidate us...and then we win. If we keep our focus, hold to the truth, stand on the principles of God and Constitution, be not angry but determined, they cannot defeat us. They cannot.

I would like to vote in your poll but, I couldn't sort out the garbage and find the poll. Sorry.

THIS type of thing is what the left, and likely congressmen/women are being shown and passed around. You see, we have a problem. We cannot count on logic. By the way, this is on the exact same thread as the one that interviews several black patriots denouncing us as racists.

OMG what a joke. I can't even believe they could find 16% who would think the tea party was :)

Excellent response by Billie J Tucker. Unfortunately, we are forced, even in this day and time, to continue to deal with this issue. Perhaps some day it will not be an issue.

Billie, I am not that optomistic about this. We know that racism isn't part of the Tea Party Movement but mainstream media like these people likely do not;not at least for certain. Had they done their homework months ago, their answer would be known. That being said, I do believe this is only the beginning. There WILL be a manufactured event or two or three to solidify our defeat, just before the elections. We need to address this head on. I don't know how but we need to make sure no one tarnishes the integrity of the TEA movement. Please take this into consideration because no matter how foolish they are, they have a platform. If this were not true, the article would look much different.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
