This is always the strangest week of the year.  We are in between the wonderful celebration of Christmas and we are gearing down from one year and ramping up for the new one.  Gearing down and ramping up never took on so much meaning as this week will.

2010 has been a rough year for Americans and the attacks on us both personally and professionally have been many.  Those attacks came from our government and from bureaucrats who imposed new laws and new regulations on liberty-loving people.  The attacks reduced our liberties and we will all find out the consequences of those decisions in the years to come.

2011 will begin with the new Congress we elected because of the way we were treated by the 2010 Congress.  We expect the new Congress to be out front in repealing some of these laws as well as investigating and clamping down on the shadow government and bureaucrats who have too much power over the people.  The political power of anyone who leads us MUST come through the Constitution and not through back door legislation.  The people are very aware of these shenanigans and will not tolerate it anymore.

The Tea Party Movement picked up steam in 2010 and there will be no gearing down of this movement.  We are ramping up our efforts and will be involved at the local level with mayoral and city council elections.  If we really want to change DC, we must begin now to change those we elect at the local level.  Many of them will end up in Tallahassee or Washington and they learn how to play the games at the local level.  They will either be a principled political player or a corrupt one.  You are either one or the other and there is no room for a middle of the roader in politics anymore.

We will also be ramping up for the 2012 Presidential election.  2011 will begin the candidate introductions and we will have our work cut out for us as we delve into the background, expertise, and character of each candidate.  The Tea Party Members realized that every little red flag that pops up in a political candidate can impact our lives.  Those little red flags will be noted and the tea party members will be informed so they can make well-informed decisions in the voting booth.

It’s going to take a lot of work and leadership to stay the course in 2011 and 2012 and we hope you will be with us throughout the next two years.  We need your time, talents and resources because we do not have a large organization funding us.  All our donations and support comes from the grassroots --  individuals and local businesses.

We are taking the last week of 2010 to ask you to support our efforts in 2011 by Paying it Forward.  We have a budget of $100,000 to pay for administrative costs, monthly rent, utilities, signage, website updates, insurance, marketing and educational materials.

Will you reach into your pocket and Give a Ten to end 2010?  Even if all of us gave $10, we would not meet our budget based on our numbers.  However, if each of you went to three friends and asked them to give a Ten for Freedom in 2011, we would get there and we could do big things in 2011.

We know times are tough and if you desire to see the tea party movement remain active, it will take money to do so.  Your contributions and those of your friends will help us stay focused on the issues and not worried about paying our rent.

If you can help – please go to http://www.fctpcommunity.org/page/donate-1 and donate through PayPal or you can write a check to the First Coast Tea Party and mail it to:  11437 Central Parkway, Suite 107, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.

Give a Ten and Ask a Friend to do so too.  Let’s End 2010 on a high note.  The Ten can show up in the amount of $10 or $110 or $1,010 or $2,010 or any form of a Ten you feel led to give.

Thank you for your help, support and encouragement this year.  Had you not been there to spur us on, it would have been tough.   We appreciate each of you for the great work you did and the results on November 2 proved that we were right!  We must change the world and it will take each of us doing our part.

Remember the movie, Pay it Forward?  Take a look at this clip.  It will remind you the importance of each person in this world and how it will take all of us to Change the Change that took place in 2010.

Let's see if we can make this happen - one Ten at at time.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
