To all those who read my blogs, I could not write today.   The only thing I could do was pray.  Please forgive me if I am insulting you with my prayers.  My heart is heavy today and you were on my mind.  So, I prayed for you personally and for our blessed America.  Please take a moment and say a prayer for those who are hurting because of the politics of our nation.  Then, pray for our nation.  Because our God is an Awesome God.

Here’s my prayer…

Dear Lord:

The headlines are not good in America today.  And, You are an Awesome God.

Politicians are playing with the lives of the people.  And, You are an Awesome God.

Jobs are gone.  And, You are an Awesome God

Money is tight.  And, You are an Awesome God

Food and gas are too high.  And, You are an Awesome God

People are losing hope.  And, You are an Awesome God

We have strayed away from you.  And, You are an Awesome God

We ask your forgiveness.  And, You are an Awesome God.

We ask for courage.  And, You are an Awesome God.

We need a miracle today in America.  And, You are an Awesome God

There are many who need to feel your peace today.  And, You are an Awesome God

Those in power need to see you and tremble in your presence.  And, You are an Awesome God

Thank you for loving us even when we don’t deserve it.  And, You are an Awesome God

We love you God because you loved us first.  You are Awesome!

Amen.

Meet my friend Rich Mullins.  He came into my life as a young mom and his songs were played in our home daily.  Rich died in a tragic car accident but he left his footprint on the hearts of millions who love our Awesome God.

There were  a lot of accusations thrown out regarding the "Cut, Cap and Balance" bill which passed the house yesterday.
I decided to look up the bill and read it for myself to determine where the accusations were made that the Republicans were using this bill to rob people of Medicare, Social Security, etc.
Low and behold : see below and read the bill that was passed and then draw your own conclusions. The bill very specifically exempts all direct spending limits on Social Security, Medicare, Veterans benefits and services, and interest on debt payments.
It appears to me that members of congress and the President are counting on people to be like blind sheep and believe the false accusations  without any independent research.  If I am interpreting this incorrectly, please advise. This bill will be in the Senate this Saturday for a vote and needs objective and non partisan support to pass. Observe that Section 317 and 318 specifically protects these earned social service benefits which we have all paid for.  The misrepresentations made  against the bill appear to be false and only serve to cloud the issue that we have a critical spending problem and have lost our way in managing the publics money in a responsible manner. If you share this sentiment, it would be good to let your Senator that you support the bill.
I would love your thoughts on this important legislation.

`SEC. 317. CERTAIN DIRECT SPENDING LIMITS.

`(a) In General- It shall not be in order in the House of Representatives or the Senate to consider any bill, joint resolution, amendment, or conference report that includes any provision that would cause total direct spending, except as excluded in subsection (b), to exceed the limits specified in subsection (c).
`(b) Exempt From Direct Spending Limits- Direct spending for the following functions is exempt from the limits specified in subsection (c):
  •
    `(1) Social Security, function 650.
  •
    `(2) Medicare, function 570.
  •
`(3) Veterans Benefits and Services, function 700.
  •
    `(4) Net Interest, function 900.

Billie Do not let your heart be weary Our God is an Awesome God and hears your prayer and the prayers of others. God never went away, folks just need to invite him in and he will prevail.

God works through me and your post and the song only confirm he works in mysterious ways when we feel all is lost.

Though not equal to the lost you mentioned above I was Feeling crushed over JROTC and the on going battle with the school and Board I just now received awesome news from one of our State Representatives that says JROTC is akin to any class in school and therefore funded. I shared that with the entire school board and Principal and will now see what they do with it.

Keep me and the children in your prayers and I will do the same for you and the rest of America.  God Bless

I love the song and love the prayer, I do hope that our country turns back to God before it is too late!

America as a whole, me included, need to come before 'The Throne of Grace', and repent of our nations backsliding.  Repentance  and Prayer is The Mightiest Force in the Universe, for Prayer Moves the Hand of God.  Today, right now, I feel so humbled, so small, for Our God is so Great; and to know He Loves us so much, that He Gave His Only begotten Son, to redeem us back to Himself.  And Jesus said, "No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me".  He is Alive, and lives in our hearts, and will never leave us.

Thanky you Billie, for being obedient to Holy Spirit today, when he tugged on your heart strings, and with that still small voice, gave you this wonderful inspiring prayer, and song by Rich Mullens to speak to all of us.

God Bless you, and "keep on keeping on".

Maranatha.

Thank you for your prayer, where would we be without God? I thank him for all and ask him to forgive us of  all our sins and then put a dome over us that satan and his  demons can not penetrate then  cover us with the blood of Jesus. Please all keep my granddaughter Ashley McKenzie in your prayers and ask God to lead her back home safely please. Keep Barack Obama in your prayers and ask God to touch him in a way that he will be able to see the ways of his sins before it is everlasting too late. Thank you Billie again for the wonderful song of faith.

Thank you so much Billie - I do so appreciate that.  It was exactly what I needed today and, yes - we do serve an awesome God.  Even though things may look bleak, we can trust that He will work it out according to His Will.  When we have a true revival in this community then we'll see the change we are looking for.  Revival begins in the heart of every individual professing to serve the true and only God.  My prayer and my hope is that by uniting in prayer and being of one accord that God will hear our prayers and we'll live to see the miracles He has in store for us and our country. [remember, when my people who are called...]

Thank you for your prayers, Billie. Prayer is the best response to the evil that has captured our nation. As it says in Proverbs 29:18 (GNT):
"A nation without God's guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God's law!"

I second Renee's comment that you should not apologize for God or prayer (talking with Him).  We don't apologize for our relationship with others, why should we apologize for our relationship with such an awesome God?!?  How can we stop ourselves from wanting to be in His amazing presence and grace? This is something we should ALWAYS fight for and NEVER be ashamed of.  Thank you for reminding us this morning that there is a God who is bigger than our problems and our circumstances that we can talk to anytime of the day.  It humbles me that He loves us so much and that He desires this kind of personal relationship with us.  He truly is an Awesome God!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
