It's Time To Pony Up

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Tea Party movement across America,

My name is John Mobilian and I am a member of the FCTP in Jacksonville, Fl. My wife and I have been members almost since the beginning of the movement.

We believe we have arrived at a crucial moment in the history of the Tea Party. Since the inception of the Tea Party, we have had to endure the wrath of the liberal machine and media. We have been undermined at every turn by the current administration. As a result of the latest ruling by Judge Bolton on the AZ immigration law, I feel we have come to a point where all of us need to put our money where our mouths are.

We have been portrayed as rednecks, hillbillies, racists and gun-totting extremists. They want to associate the Tea Party movement with the Republican Party. We all know who we are and what we represent. We are affiliated with no political party and we recieve NO funds from any political party. We support the Constitution of the United States. It is obvious that the current administration believes that the Constitution is passe and needs to be re-written. Tea Party members would disagree vehemently.

I am writing this blog for one reason, and one reason only. There is no well-oiled machine like in the Republican or Democratic Party that is soliciting funds for the Tea Party. The leadership has the overwhelming burden of keeping the Tea Party movement growing and on-track. They are all volunteers. But the Tea Party needs funding to lead the fight against this bulging, tyrannical government.

I am asking every one of you to please click on the donate icon at the First Coast Tea Party web-site and give whatever you can afford. Better yet, set up a regular donation so the FCTP doesn't have the stress of wondering where their funding will come from this month. Even $10 per month per member, (the cost of one glass of wine or a couple of beers) would ensure the fight will continue.

We're proud to be affiliated with all of our fellow Tea Party members and know we WILL prevail.
