To my fellow tea party members of Duval County.  This is the email I wrote to the City Council members.  Please take a moment and write, call or visit your City Council Member prior to next Tuesday night.  This will be the last night for voting on major bills before them - which have been rushed through at a fast and furious speed.  There are Pension bills, Transportation bills, Bank-moving bills, and many more which can be found at:  Bill Search Here

You can reach your City Council Member by clicking here:  Find my City Council Member

A heartfelt email or encouraging call to slow down would be the Call to Action today.  It will take only a few minutes.  God bless you for taking time to do this.  They need to hear from you.

My email is noted below:

RE:  Be Wise, City Council

There is a lot of angst and concern by the citizens of Duval County.  They are watching the last few weeks of this present City Council shuffle bills and vote on the addendum to the addendum to the addendum.  From our seat, it appears to be chaotic and lays the groundwork for major mistakes.

We have heard that Mayor Peyton is trying to clean up some issues that have sat on his desk for a while.  That is not a good enough reason to rush your decision making.  The rush is on and it creates an atmosphere of non-transparency and slight of hand tactics.

Shakespeare was noted as saying:

“Wisely, and slow.  They stumble that run fast.”

We see you at the ball park, the grocery store, the movie theatre and we pass you on the sidewalk as we walk our dogs or enjoy the beauty of the sunrise.  You are one of us and you live among us.

We hope you will be able to look us in the eye at the end of this City Council session and can say “I promise you I was wise about my decision and feel good about it.”  We hired you to do that so we’re counting on you to make the right decisions.

Shakespeare was also noted as saying:

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players:

They have their exits and their entrances;

And one man in his time plays many parts…”

If you are leaving us to pursue other avenues, we wish you the best and thank you for your service.

For those of you who will remain and to those who are coming on board, we pray you understand the significance of your job.  We hired you because we believed you were the ones who could best represent us.

We wish you the best and we’ll be rooting for you to remain principled and wise in this important role of service to your fellow man.

Be wise and slow down, please.  Your neighbors are counting on you.

Tom, I think you are correct.  They have to know what is going on is not right by anyone's standards.

Billie,

I called my district  councilman on Monday, still waiting for a response.

I also called all 5 of our at large councilmen, to date I have spoke to John Crescimbei, the only councilman without an assistant.

I have spoke with the lady in Mr. Joost office, but not to him personally.

The others have not retuned my call.

They seem to know that we are not happy with the way this is being handled and are reluctant to return my call.

I will continue to bug them until I do get the calls.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
