The city's pension task held a meeting to take suggestions from the public Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2013 at City Hall.

In a three judge ruling, the 1st District Court of Appeal unanimously rejected arguments that Circuit Judge…

The Obama administration has dragged its feet on revoking Obamacare coverage for people who can't prove U.S. citizenship or legal residency, allowing some of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. to continue enjoying taxpayer-funded benefits, a Republican senator charged Monday.
"The Obama administration is bending over backwards to give Obamacare to illegal immigrants but won't protect hardworking American citizens who are losing their health care coverage," said…

Please join me @ 5 P.M. this evening to secure a good seat and a "comment card" to express your opinion on the acceptance of this terminally ill budget the city council wants to further sicken the "Jacksonville Taxpayers" with. I pray you all are in agreement that we need to send a message to the council that this budget continues to contain a malignant core termed the "PFPF TRUSTEES". Until this element is removed by surgery of the elective representatives for the good of the entire…

Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) today introduced a bill to prevent the continuation or expansion of President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Blackburn’s legislation will serve as the House companion to a bill recently introduced by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). The legislation proposed by Congressman Blackburn and Senator Cruz would prohibit federal funding from being used to continue or expand DACA. It also prevents aliens from being authorized to work…

A month or two ago news broke that Obama’s HHS was calling for private contractors to help transport illegal aliens throughout the interior United States. What made this already big news even bigger is the fact that the original call for proposals came out in January, long before the bulk of the illegal alien surge began.
The breaking news you’re about to read is ten times bigger, because the following proves the Obama administration was bankrolling America’s…

Before anyone assumes that the City Council has been presented with a reasonable compromise on public safety pensions and tries to look for funding sources, we need to examine the fundamental economic flaws of the proposal which, unless they are addressed now, mean that the plan has to rely on uncertain financial assumptions regarding future inflation rates and market performance to avoid municipal insolvency.
In particular, unless the 3%…

Thirteen days ago Mayor Alvin Brown proclaimed it was great day for Jacksonville after his chief negotiator and the Police and Fire Pension Fund’s top administrator reached an agreement on pension reform.
But as the days turned into nearly two weeks, the agreement seems to be anything but that with both sides now questioning the logic behind each party’s understanding of the May 21st agreement.
Now both sides will come together again at noon Tuesday to hash it out in public.…

What would you think if your 8-year-old came home and told you that "white privilege is something that white people have, meaning they have an advantage in a lot of things and they can get a job more easily"? You would have heard that at the recent 15th annual White Privilege Conference in Madison, Wisconsin, attended by 2,500 public-school teachers, administrators and students from across the nation.
The average parent has no idea of the devious indoctrination going on in classrooms…

A government that fails to secure its borders is guilty of dereliction of duty. A government that fails to care for our men and women on the frontlines is guilty of malpractice. A government that puts the needs of illegal aliens above U.S. veterans for political gain should be prosecuted for criminal neglect bordering on treason.
Compare, contrast and weep:
In Sacramento, Calif., lawmakers are moving forward with a budget-busting plan to extend government-funded health…

Jonathan Golob of The Seattle Stranger wrote “Every time I read about a Teabagger ranting about how socialized medicine will destroy this country I think of the VA system. There it is, a huge and vastly important universal healthcare system—government run, single payer and therefore socialist—right here in the brave and privatized United States: The Veterans…

Concerned Taxpayers of Duval County, Inc. (“CTDC”) was founded in 1987 with the mission of opposing and exposing local governmental waste and abuse in Jacksonville. Ever since, its officers, directors and members - all volunteers – have acted with those missions in mind.
Once it became clear that political deals over the last generation had changed the Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension Fund (“PFPF”) into an irresponsible and poorly run independent entity, with its arbitrary…

“I see lobbying,” Tony Podesta has said, “as getting information in the hands of people who are making decisions so they can make more informed decisions.” We see it as how obscene wealth can be amassed through rent-seeking and influence-peddling in Washington D.C., and of the hoary means by which the princelings of the capital and their consorts maintain and grow that wealth. This is the story of the power of lobbying, of how one family maneuvered to the center of the…

In Search Of The “Silver Bullet”
Why a “Silver Bullet?” Because our Federal Government is out of control and because America is no longer able to solve her problems through the political process; Mark Levin writes we need “to reform the federal government from its degenerate, bloated, imperial structure back to its (smaller) republican roots.” The Federal Government is broken, D.C. Will never voluntarily relinquish its power,…

There has never been a fiscal study of how much it will cost to implement Common Core. No one really knows how much it will cost your local school district to implement CC. A few years ago the feds bribed Florida with "Race to the Top" money to get our politicians to agree to implement Common Core, but guess what? The Race to the Top money is almost gone so Common Core costs will have to be covered with new money. Is Tallahassee going to start giving more money to the schools? Maybe,…

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
