What happened to my country and its leaders?

 

Since last Saturday when the Tucson shooting happened, I have watched in amazement at the reaction to this horrible incident. 

 

In the past two years as the Tea Party Movement grew from the ashes of America’s economic collapse, we were ridiculed, called nasty names which far exceeded the nasty names of the past, targeted by our government, blasted by the media and misrepresented as racists.  We could not believe how we were treated simply because we were concerned about the path America was on. 

 

Congress and the President laughed at us and with a mean-spirited attitude saying “we won” passed healthcare legislation that the majority of Americans did not want.  Other legislation passed that we battled against and the Lame Duck session was the last slap in the face of the most partisan Congress ever in history.

 

When the shooting occurred, we were immediately named as accomplices to the murders of these innocent people.    We were found guilty by the press within hours of the shooting.

 

Our country has hit a low spot that will go down in history as the slimmest leadership team ever to grace our history books.   I am so sorry I am alive to see it and wish my granddaughters would not have to endure the hardships coming towards them in their future.  Thanks to this team of left-wing, morality hating individuals, my country is now fighting not for tax reform or the end to bailouts.  No, instead we are fighting to regain our moral compass because those with no feelings for others except themselves have taken over the dialogue.

 

Using us as scapegoats, the progressive left decided to use the murders of these innocent people for their upcoming political campaign – “Together We Thrive.” 

How funny that the most partisan Congress and President would call us out to come together.  This is a turn of the tables to win an election and make us look like the bad guys.  We know what they are up to.

 

If Together We Thrive becomes the political mantra of the left – they will fail. 

Americans are not up to letting innocent people die at the hands of a mentally disturbed man become their platform for the 2012 election. 

 

We wonder who bought the tee shirts?

 

We wonder who came up with the slogan?

 

We wonder who said “let’s not let this crisis go to waste” first in their strategy meeting?

 

The issue with Tucson is this:

 

A mentally disturbed young man needed help.  He didn’t get it.  His parents didn’t get it either.  He was bailed out of problems and sent back home.  He snapped and he shot up a bunch of people.  His actions had nothing to do with the tea party or those who stood up this past year – which is our duty when we see our country hurting.

 

Because the media and the left wing progressives decided to use this opportunity for political gain – others who are mentally ill will not get the help they need.  Others who are mentally ill – will kill other people or themselves because this political machine didn’t talk about the real issue.  Shame again on them.

 

To say we are at fault for this Tucson shooting is a crime.

 

To say the progressives decided to derail the issue and make it political will cause others to kill – is really a crime.

 

A tee shirt with a slogan will not save our country.

 

A country with a moral compass and those willing to stand up for it will.

Same old song and dance. For as many years as I don't care to remember the spin machines turn out the same old crap. You don't need to tune in to know what any side  will say. The mavelous thing about the Tea Party is that is made up of that part of society that is wise to it and sick of it. And as Speaker Boehner states so eliquintly:

You're right, slander and libel are both crimes.  When that libel is published online it becomes a computer crime.  Both the federal government and the State of Florida have laws on the books to cover all three.  Incitement to sedition and anarchy are also crimes, which this type of hate speech from the socialist left appears to be designed to ultimately do, along with using it in an underhanded and dishonest way in their campaign of politics of personal destruction of all who dare to cross them as they are on the path to also destroy our Constitution, laws, and historical principles our country was founded upon.

Perhaps some (or all) of the discrete Tea Parties should come together in a class action lawsuit against the libelous hard-left media, both in print and online, to hold them responsible for their intentional damaging smears and incitement to violence against Sarah Palin and others. Arizona Sheriff Dubnick and his ilk need to be held responsible for their false and slanderous political statements, as well.

It is not the job of the President, the Executive Branch of government, any government official, or any department of the federal or state government, to violate our laws and war against, defame, and attempt to disenfranchise any American citizens.

The secular left only wants "civility" from conservatives. And for the left "civility" means agreement with their secular progressive ideas. In the meantime, they are free to use harsh "uncivil' discourse to express their bazaar philosophy. So, for a secular progressive, civility=censorship.

Well said Billie! This past week has been one of the most disgusting weeks for the progressives I've seen yet(and that's saying something!) Using this crisis for political gain is despicable.Even more disturbing is the Orwellian way they are using the term civility... The problem is we have laws [ HIPPA LAWS ]that do not allow even family,wife or husband ] to know about mental disorders ,depression, ect.... that someone in our family my be having until it is to late.Our country has abandoned to mentally ill,the unborn ,the senior citizens ,the homeless and supports illegals,provides free medical and 3 meals a day ,a telephone and a pay to prisoners,and billions to 3rd world countries [where the government seals the money and the people never see it  ...
