Ladies and Gentlemen: We are presently in Washington, DC for a Values Voter Summit. Values Voters Summit is made up of Conservative organizations who come together to learn from each other.
During our stay we have been with many who went to the Occupy DC "March" just to see what was going on. To see it first hand is to watch an organized group of communists, thugs and mis-guided people shout about things they do not even understand. It has been revealed this am that Van Jones PAID for hispanics to carry signs which they could not read or understand.
Nancy Pelosi said the Tea Party Movement was astroturf and today we call her out about that statement. This Occupy Protest IS Astroturf and manufactured by the left to ensure Obama gets re-elected. The people who are showing up are violent and have damaged property and hurt other people. This is escalating and although we laugh at these people because they can't even say why they are there -- we urge our members to be careful and stay away from these "so called protests."
We have watched our blogs and one or two in this tea party are stating they will go to these protests and stand with these Communists. Let it be known that should you do that - you do not represent the tea party movement. You are there as individuals and you have no authority to speak on behalf of the First Coast Tea Party. We also question if you are a true tea party believer or if you are in here solely as a mole for your own personal beliefs.
In no way would tea party members stand with Communists - they are the complete opposite of who we are.
Go to their website at www.occupywallstreet.org and you can see the names of the organizations behind this uprising. Do we stand with these people or these organizations?
God bless you and stay safe.

Even if it is currently in the bill if it ever does come up for vote we just need to make sure that it stays in there. I'm sure you know that they can do whatever they want to the bill and they change it at the last minute all the time so simply saying it is in the bill now isn't enough if we don't stay on them and insist it stays in there.
The end goal still needs to be no federal income tax of any type but I agree that this is a better way to collect taxes then what we currently have.
To understand the FAIR TAX Movement one only has to Read the book, Research HR -25, The fair tax bill. For the 16th Admender's, and i Quote" The enactment of he Fair tax will become effective only upon the COMPLETE repeal of the 16th. Admendent". It doesnt get any easier than that. My Family,
My self as well as many of our Friends have spent the last five years or more very active in the Movement, if need be we will continue these efforts for our remaining life. This includes family located in many different States. Fair Tax.Org. for meetings, local, State, National. Many other Countries are enjoying this type of Tax Collection, They are Prospering while Most Of America is allowing our Republic to be Destroyed.
Mr Cain can't even explain what 9-9-9 is. His own plan with its secret economists.
Mr. Cain is doing thisto sell books.
He may have common sense, but he is not serious.
Doyle, Mr. Cain has it right now doesn't he!
Steve, I would agree the 16th amendment has to go. I understand Cain wants to start the process with his 999, but what if he doesn't get to complete the transition and get the 16 amendment repealed and leaves us with yet another new way to tax people and people foolishly vote another person like Obama in? We would be in the soup so to speak then. His heart is in the right place and his intentions are good, but without getting rid of one, you really can't have another tax as it is not a fair tax it is a consumption tax in addition to the income tax. Sort of like what they have done locally where we have all sorts of taxes and they just jockey things around and always end up raising one of the other pretty much every year and then, act like they haven't raised taxes ................
Mr. Newberry I agree that nothing is, or at least should be, the end goal. This country survived till 1863, I think, without any federal income tax, and even after then it was only 3% at most. It wasn't until the 16th amendment was passed in 1913 that the income tax became law and you're right I think we can get back there. We have to phase out the unconstitutional agencies and other things that go on in government before we can hope to get rid of the income tax totally. I see your point if we just pull it they are forced to decide I just don't think there would be more problems if it was just pulled out like that.
Yes if the Fair Tax doesn't repeal the 16th amendment there is no way I could support it as it would just be something else that we would be taxed in addition to the income tax, state tax, death tax, payroll tax, and all of the other ways they take our money.
@ Doyle yes that made perfect sense, thank you.
@ Mrs. McBridge
I think we have been at a tipping point for longer then Obama has been in but yes Obama has done more to push us over in a faster time-frame they anyone else in history. I have expressed my desire to be one of those filthy rich but right now I'm far from it and I'll be honest I'm probably one of those that after you take how much I pay in taxes and what I get back I probably am a net drain on the economy (not sure never actually did the math) but I still vote against the things that give me that advantage because they aren't right and it is not what this country is supposed to be about. It would hurt my family economically but I don't care because it is what is best for the country and besides that I don't count on the government to take care of my family I count on God.
The "fair Tax is one proposal I can say I am against without question.
Don't look for the truth about the "fair tax" in most places because you will NOT find it.
Here are a few thoughts...
The Fair Tax bill does NOT reapeal the IRS.
The Fair Tax would encourage a larger "underground economy".
The Fair Tax will not tax some services that are already at the core of our financial problems, for example banking.
The Fair Tax is NOT constitutional as the constitution does not allow DIRECT taxation of citizens.
I could go on all day about the real truth about the fair tax, but you folks should do your own research.
I support ending the income tax and replacing it with NOTHING... yes, thats right nothing. Then, when the government has to make hard decisions about how to spend the money they raise we will see MANY of their unconstitution overreach programs halted for lack of funds.
The only thing the FairTax does is change the way the state confiscates the wealth of its citizens. As Congressman Ron Paul says: "The real issue is total spending by government, not tax reform."
The consumption tax, can only be regarded as a payment for permission-to-live. It implies that a man will not be allowed to advance or even sustain his own life, unless he pays, off the top, a fee to the State for permission to do so. The consumption tax does not strike me, in its philosophical implications, as one whit more noble, or less presumptuous, than the income tax.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
