"The Radical Gradualism of Paul Ryan
The status quo is far more ‘extreme’ than the Republican budget"
This article is an outstanding evaluation and explanation of U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan's proposed budget. It should be adopted, forthwith, for it does, over time, exactly what needs to be done to rescue our country from economic collapse, while addressing the basic problems that, if staying the current course, would bring financial disaster. And, it would head off the Soros-inspired Obama plan which will crush the U.S. economy.
The term "radical," as used in the title above, only means it's a radical departure from the status quo and provides a logical and ingenious alternative to the Democrats' aggravated rush to increase the debt ceiling and spend us into deficit hell.
This is a must read! It's a budget the Tea Party can get behind and fight for with great credibility.

Roma, this just blows me away! After going to Matt Taibbi's website and reading the uncut version, I'm having a hard time holding my jaw up off the floor. Even Taibbi's unmatchable humor, which had me laughing out loud at his analogies, didn't soften the blow as the realization of the profligate and criminal handing out $Billions$ of the American peoples' money, as if it were penny candy, to allied campaign donor cronies and campaign donor big businesses, while leaving our government stuck with worthless paper and unmeasurable losses, sank in deeper and deeper.
Another stunner is the cartoon on the website, showing two capitalist pig "sweeties" (for lack of a better word) batting their eyelashes adoringly at a well-pleased, learing Uncle Sam.

Roma, why don't you post a new, separate blog, about this heretofore Secret FED Rape of the U.S. Treasury and include the video and the cartoon there? No budgets or laws have been passed by Congress that would even hint of permission to engage in this astronomical theft and money give-away that makes Bernie Madoff look like a penny-ante piker. This is something that damages all of us and everyone needs to know about everything that has been done behind our backs to destroy our financial system and our country. What's their philosophy? Just give away all our money and allow George Soros to finish collapsing and destroying our economy? Like he has already done in other countries, even to the extent of bringing down the country of Yugoslavia that no longer exists.
This happened on Soros-purchased Obama's watch and Obama must be held accountable. Yet, Obama had the audacity to, in the face of economic disaster he has helped engineer, cavalierly throw his hat in the ring for re-election. Only a drooling, knuckle-dragging moron would vote for him.
Roma and Tom, I just read the Rolling Stone Article you posted. I would say it is unbelievable, yet I am not surprised. When TARP was passed with no strings attached, we should not be surprised that this is happening. What is even more disheartening is that Rolling Stone is doing the investigative reporting and asking the tough questions. Where is CNBC, Fox Business News, Business Week, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, anyone! It's because when your network or magazine is owned by those same people on Wall Street, I'm pretty sure we won't be reading/hearing much about their shenanigans.

President Barack Obama will lay out his plan for reducing the nation’s deficit Wednesday, belatedly entering a fight over the nation’s long-term financial future. But in addition to suggesting cuts—the current focus of debate—the White House looks set to aim its firepower on a more divisive topic: taxes.
In a speech Wednesday, Mr. Obama will propose cuts to entitlement programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, and changes to Social Security, a discussion he has largely left to Democrats and Republicans in Congress. He also will call for tax increases for people making over $250,000 a year, a proposal contained in his 2012 budget, and changing parts of the tax code he thinks benefit the wealthy.
“Every corner of the federal government has to be looked at here,” David Plouffe, a senior White House adviser, said Sunday in one of multiple television appearances. “Revenues are going to have to be part of this,” he said, referring to tax increases.
The White House move caught Democrats in Congress off guard, according to aides, and details of the president’s proposals were sketchy..."

"HOUSE PASSES CONTINUING RESOLUTION"
"On Wednesday night, the United States House of Representatives approved a $1.1 trillion continuing resolution (CR) that will fund the federal government through September 30, 2011. A Continuing Resolution was Congress’ last resort as it failed to pass any of the 12 appropriations bills for fiscal year 2011, as well as a budget resolution. The Hill reports, “The bill, which passed 212-206 largely along party lines, freezes 2011 discretionary appropriations at the current level, providing $45.9 billion less than President Obama requested for the year.”
House Democrats also managed to sneak into the continuing resolution the Food Safety Modernization Act, a food safety legislation that very nearly died in the House as a result of unconstitutionality issues. The bill was passed in the Senate, but as it contained provisions that virtually created new taxes, the House gave the Food Safety Modernization Act the old “blue slip” — a rejection of the law that sends it back to the Senate for another vote.
However, instead of making its way back to the Senate, the bill found its way into the Continuing Resolution and voilà, the progressives are one step closer to their dream of total control..."

Thanks for posting these telling graphs, Roma. It's good to see the five-year and ten-year projections graphically to get a good picture of how spending rises or falls, by comparison, over time with these three budgets. A picture is often worth more than a thousand words and helps put into context what our financial situation will be at a given point in time..., at least as closely as it can be projected. When you just read or hear someone talk about it, it's much harder to grasp conceptually. However, I found the written analysis of Ryan's proposed budget very helpful.
Also, I learned last night that Rep. Michelle Bachman has 127 Representatives who have committed to vote with her against the devil's bargain arrived at under unconstitutional pressure on the part of the President, aided by his political yes-man, Harry Reid. And, I read today that the $39B saved was put in the shade by the $54B increase in the national debt during the period of negotiation. Seems its up the down staircase at all points.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
