Times Union: $1 million grant from the city adds 52 beds to Jacksonville's Sulzbacher center

Isn't this interesting?  And the lady who runs this has helped the mayor on his transition team....................you don't suppose?   Certainly interesting and imagine us with millions of dollars in the whole and us begging other people to give money to do projects the city is involved in and we are giving a million to these folks when we have no taxpayer money to give anyone.

5.17.2012

Jacksonville's Sulzbacher Center for the homeless announced the  beginning of construction projects Wednesday that will, among other things, add  52 beds.

The work is being funded by a $1 million grant from the city.

The main work is the addition of a second floor that will serve as a 24-bed  veterans dormitory and a 28-bed medical respite facility. Also, the center  kitchen will be renovated, with new floors, a new dishwasher and reusable  plates, glasses and cutlery.

Probably a political pay off to someone.  And you know, the furniture for the court house is the responsibility of the city (furnishing public buildings), and we could afford to do that if we weren't doing garbage like this which is clearly paying someone back for helping on the mayor's transition team, and you already know who that is :).  I am sick, sick, sick of us paying for things like this while the mayor ignored getting the furniture from the old court house refurbed so it was ready to moved into the new court house.  This was clearly not the city's job and the furniture was the city's job!

This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
