THIS TUESDAY: PRIMARY IN FLORIDA -- THROW THE BUMS OUT

History shows that most people sit out the primaries and wait for the big Election Day in November. The problem with that thought -- you are allowing everyone else to decide who gets on the November ballot. You are smarter than that so don’t let it happen this time. Decide who you want on the ballot and let your voice be heard. Go vote Tuesday and take your neighbors with you.

FIRST COAST TEA PARTY PRIMARY PARTY: We are hosting a party at the First Coast Tea Party headquarters Tuesday night beginning at 6:30. For more information and to RSVP, please go to: http://www.fctpcommunity.org/events/primary-night-viewing-party. We are limited in space so your RSVP is needed by Monday at 5:00 p.m.

2010 ELECTIONS: Stay informed by visiting Liberty Central’s 2010 Election page at http://www.libertycentral.org/23958-2010-08 where you can find up to the date information about the top 30 races in America.

MILITARY VOTES: NOT BEING COUNTED: MOVE Act Under Scrutiny

Read more about the 45 day deadline that may hinder our military from voting in November. Michael Connelly at www.FreedomTorch.com has the whole story and we encourage you to read it and pass it along to your friends in any of these states. To not let our military men and women vote can only be sized up in two words – VOTER FRAUD! Don’t let it happen.

A SPECIAL LETTER TO OUR FELLOW TEA PARTY MEMBERS

Most of us in the tea party movement are – as some have called us-- “political novices.” In the last few weeks, we have been taunted by some of our own tea party members who were previously staunch political party lifers. When the tea party movement started, they came to our meetings and loved what we were doing. We were shining the light on issues and they were thrilled we had awakened. We became the place where they could be energized and motivated again outside their party. They loved us and used us to benefit their issues. They worked with us on special projects against corrupt legislation and even donated to the movement.

That was then and this is now. Now is election time and some of those who were with us have returned to the party camps. They believe and have told us -- we have no place at the table and will damage the elections. We were threatened by some and even had hate mail circulating to others about us and the good work we have done.

We are not alone in this issue. The tea party leaders all over Florida are getting the same treatment. We feel like a bucket of fish being thrown into a swamp of hungry gators YET while the gators chomp and roll all over each other to get us – we quickly swim off as the current and the one who holds the force of nature help us survive.

Not only has the tea party been trashed by those who were with us, the candidates who were with their own party are being violated as well. Gone are the good old days of parties staying true to each other until the primaries were over.

Endorsements are coming out of the woodwork too and we encourage you to do your homework to see who is “behind the curtain” of each endorsement. Two tea party organizers in Florida have done some investigation and have uncovered some disturbing information. See for yourself from Central Florida Tea Party Organizer, TomT. His post can be found at http://www.orlandopoliticalpress.com/2010/08/21/who-will-bill-mccollum-represent/ and one of the Southwest Florida Tea Party organizers, RobinS. also has a revealing post at http://dailysmarts.blogspot.com/ .

Tea Party organizers are joining forces to uncover these issues and these games being played on the Florida voter. It’s not nice to be mean to tea party members and organizers. We’ve worked hard and all we want is Limited Government, Personal Responsibility and Moral Leadership. Is that too much to ask?

Vote Tuesday and Vote for those who stand on principle, who can lead with integrity and who have our back and not the backing of special interests or the big political machine.

May God Save the USA and forgive those who use dirty tricks in politics.

Who is McCalister?

McCalister did great! 10% of the vote is quite a chunk for someone who only spent 2000$.I hope to see his name on the ballot again.

The AP called it for Rick Scott! We will get this sate BACK TO WORK!!
Now it's time to unite against the statist threat posed by the tax-n-spend types like Alex Sink.
I know it's been a tough primary, but I wonder of Rick could pick McCollum for running mate?

Yes, we do need to throw the bums out, but let us not replace our current bums with bums about whom we know very little. It is better to deal with the devil you know than with the devil you don't know. It is virtually too late this Primary to change one's mind inasmuch as most of us have already committed our votes, rightly or wrongly, to our new champion whomsoever that may turn out to be.

Of course, the national elections coming up in another few months will be more clear cut with absolutely no confusion whatsoever.........

Morgan -- You are a hoot! I waved flags with you for Arizona and love your enthusiasm. But I had to chuckle at your "catching McCollum in two lies." Young man, what about Scott's ad that Haley Barbour from Georgia, Head of the Governors Council, asked Scott to take down because it was so flagrantly dishonest. Scott wouldn't. And he's been dishonestly smearing McCollum with it big time ever since. Not my kind of Governor.

To all:
I know some one who used to work in the health care field with Rick Scott; Say's he's dirty as a rug at a junk yard. Make up our mind, I'm going with AG Bill McCollum. Live Free...or Die. God help us.

Morgan I appreciate your well reasoned assesment, and I hope you're right about
Scott, The polls around both of them have been swinging so much either one of them could win. most polls show McCollum with about a 4 point lead, and one poll shows Scott ahead. I don't like Bills failure to answer our survey, and I also don't like Scotts acceptance of $300 Mill. after the fine was levied. It is good to be able to have an intelligent conversation with informed electors - too bad so many people go to the polls not really knowing anything about who they are voting for. I appreciate your passion for throw the bums out, and I'm with you for the most part, but we still need to really know the newcommers; so we're not out of the frying pan and into the fire. I'm behind whichever one wins be it Bill M. or Rick S. We can't let the other candidate SINK Florida.

Danny here's food for thought. Rick Scott was deposed in a related case to the HCA thing, and that was the end of it. He was NEVER charged, and Bill McCollum was the AG! Believe me when i tell you that if Bill had anything on Rick Scott he would have pounced, IMMMEDIATELY! Scott would have been a prize catch for an ambitious AG like McCollum. Given the facts at hand, I'm guessing that Scott was clean.
He's a TREMENDOUSLY talented and energetic businessman who has succeeded wildly in the private sector. There's no doubt in my mind that he's be the best Guv for our state.

The problems that I have with Bill M. are:
1. He's a career politician--I want them GONE!
2. He has a penchant for telling flat out LIES about his past positions. Two TV ads got him dead to rights on different issues. He's soft on illegals, no matter WHAT his new position happens to be. :-)

I'll admit that these are small problems compared to tax-n-spend Alex Sink, but they set him a notch below Scott. Rick's a true star, and we could use a guy with his talents in the Governor's mansion.

We reached out to Bill McCollum's campaign over and over again to get his questionnaire filled out and posted. We never received it. There were others too and especially those who have been long term politicians. Check out the ones we did receive posted at www.firstcoastteaparty.org under the candidate tab. These were tough questions and we appreciate those who took the time to fill them out. Thanks.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
