Rep. Ryan has been chosen and we have finally have a national candidate who will end Medicare. Hallelujah!
Once and for all we can end this underfunded boondoggle.

Ryan's plan does not exactly end Medicare right away.  Seniors over the age of 55 would continue to use Medicare in its present form.  The big change is how people up to the age of 55 would be affected under the Ryan plan.  There is good summary of the plan in this American Thinker link:  http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/06/ok_just_what_is_the_ryan_med...

Eventually, Medicare would wither away as seniors who are on Medicare cease to exist.

You go kc. There would be an extra two percent in our paychecks once we get stop fundimg Medicare for those people unwilling to take responsibility for their oen healthcare. The average Medicare recipient receives $350,0000 in benefits MORE than they paid in. Who pays for these freeloading oldsters, peole like me who will never receive a dimes worth of coverage. I am worried to now see Ryan deny that these are changes he was attempting to bring about. Stay strong Paul, do not forget what got you your reputation. What is wrong with him saying he was a devotee of Ayn Rand. Urban legend? Come on Paul, be a man. Stay true to yourself.

Paul Ryan is a poser.  He voted for TARP, the auto bailout, Medicare Part D or B or whatever it is.  he has just recently found fiscal conservatism, and now he's trying to backpedal out of his prior Medicare stance.

Wow, where is the love? Romney has chosen a guy who is an Ayn Rand devotee. He actually knows who Hayek is. He is determined to set free the job creators, so much so he is willing to provide then a 4 trillion dollar tax cut. He has voted to make contraception all but illegal. I know he voted for TARP and that really doesn't jibe, but he has ben in Congress 14 years, everyone has a bad day. Even the social justice fanatics, Nuns on a Bus went into his district to take him on. He is willing to turn Medicare over to the free market, where is the love?
