The New Generation: The TEA Party and the GOP can learn a thing or two from Venezuela.

This is very inspiring, and hopefully, our tea party members will see what can be done by a group of people who are committed and outnumber the other side. Chevez was never a nice man, but he is in the final stages of the cancer that will take his life, and his people don't plan on someone replacing him who is a tyrant and dictator! They are being pro-active.  The people of the country have taken matters into their own hands to end the tyranny with the end of Chevez's life by putting one of their own in charge of the country!

This past weekend I watched the Venezuelan oposition put on a show for the world. I've been to many TEA party rallies, meeting, conferences, etc. But what happened in Venezuela this past weekend was breathtaking.

Much like the TEA party movement The Venezuelan opposition has grown out of a genuine need for ordinary citizens to take back their country. Opposition to Hugo Chavez has been unified with the single goal in mind of removing the now cancer stricken dictator.

Much like the TEA Party, this movement has evolved out of the protest phase, and into a phase of organized political opposition which is now: running candidates AND WINNING, organizing grassroots movements and voter drives, presenting an often fragmented, yet single message against the socialist leanings of the current leaders. In Venezuela, however, it's like the TEA Party x 1000.

Yet while it has evolved out of the protest phase, this past weekend showed the world that at the drop of a hat, millions of people are willing to stand up and take to the streets in a show of unity and solidarity with Henrique Capriles Radonski, the Chaves opposition candidate for the upcoming October elections.

So, imagine this: After a heated and often nasty primary battle, it was announced twice, once on the radio and once on TV, that Capriles would be going into the CNE (Venezuelan version of the Federal Elections Commission) and filling the paperwork required to be an official candidate for president of Venezuela. the filling of these papers is the Venezuelan version of our nominating convention.

After the announcement was made, hundreds of thousands of students took to their Blackberries to spread the message (the student population is the heart and soul of this opposition movement). Only a day after the announcement was made, over a million people took to the streets in a popular symphony that would have taken months if not years of planning in our country.

Starting out from 8 different locations spread across the capital city of Caracas, each location led by one of the primary candidates, the multitudes began marching toward the CNE headquarters, converging together in the plaza out front while Capriles made his candidacy official.

The Chavez government suspended all air traffic during the march, so as to not allow areal photos of the march to flood the internet.

The TEA party can learn a thing or two from this. There is a planned Unity Rally outside of the GOP convention, where the national TEA Party organizations are coming together to tell the GOP with a single voice "WERE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU, AND WE WILL BE WATCHING".

I think this rally is a great idea, and The New Generation will be helping the TEA party organizations spread the word. Having said that, it is imperative that people be willing to put differences aside, and come together with one single unified message. So, can we do this in Tampa?

We cannot afford 4 more years of Obama, or we will end up like Venezuela. So This is the moment, and this is the time to unite, not behind Romney, But with each other as Conservatives and ensure that Romney and the GOP know that while we will go vote for them, we will work and help them get elected, we will fight them like hell once they get into office. they must know that WE ARE MORE POWERFUL, BECAUSE THEY CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT US.

History is made by those who show up. The New Generation will show up.
