Today is April 16th and what now, I wondered as I walked towards the kitchen to begin the morning routine.  The Times Union was already open and these headlines caught my attention.

BROWN WINS OVER BIG GOP BACKER - the leader of the Jacksonville Civic Council - has personally endorsed Alvin Brown and is giving him $150,000.  As I write this, I am still confused by this headline and more so by Mr. Rummell's decision.  Mr. Rummell is endorsing a liberal who is also backed by the Obama machine from DC.   Alvin Brown looks like a nice guy and I am sure he is.  What we must worry about are his policy ideas and how he will spend our money.  You can read an interview with Mr. Brown here where he talks about Obama and how important Jacksonville will be for the Democrats in 2012.  http://www.blackamericaweb.com/?q=articles/news/moving_america_news...   I guess we are beginning to see who the RINOs are in Jacksonville.  RINOs are unprincipled people who are out to get something for themselves at the expense of the taxpayers.  Mr. Rummell is an unprincipled person who is looking for a Mayor who will help him achieve his own personal agenda and not what is best for the city.  We need to let Mr. Rummell know that his agenda will bankrupt this city and we need to help Mike Hogan win next month.  Contact the campaign at:  http://hoganformayor.com/mike-hogan-home.php  Make sure you vote and tell your friends and neighbors to do so too or Obama and his machine will be behind the scenes running our city.  May 17th is the day and Mike Hogan is our guy.

GOVERNOR SPEAKS OUT AT TEA PARTY RALLY - The article was fine until ... the statement: "an estimated 600 at the third annual Tax Day Tea Party Rally" -- and another statement "about 40 protestors".  Now that's what we call "Unprincipled Journalism."  Adding words such as "estimated" and "about" allows them to write whatever they want after those words.  The numbers for the rally - as the Landing stated was at least 2,000 atattendees" and we saw maybe 10 protestors heckling the Governor.  The TU embellished the numbers of hecklers and diminished the numbers of attendees!  Shameful journalism.  Up next will certainly be the endorsement of Alvin Brown for Mayor.  Just you wait and see.

We have no idea who Mr. Brown really is.  The First Coast Tea Party reached out to him time and time again and he refused to meet with us.  He refused to participate in our Mayoral process or even fill out the questionnaire we sent to all candidates.

If he refuses to meet with tea party members during his campaign -- he certainly will not take our concerns under consideration when he is Mayor.

I started this blog asking "What now?" and I think the answer is clear.  What now means -- getting to work to ensure Jacksonville will have a strong, principled leader as their Mayor and helping him get elected.  We need to throw our support behind Mike for Mayor and behind those we endorsed on our website at http://www.fctpcommunity.org/page/2011-candidate-questionnaires

Are you ready?  Will you do what you can?  It's time to volunteer your talents and put money towards mailings and commercials and anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

Let's get to work and hire some principled leaders for our city.  We'll worry about the media later - we have work to do!

I have recently found several bits of information that you will never see in the mainstream media.

In 1954 there were two congressional hearings to investigate activities of tax exempt foundations in America.

Here is an excerpt from a book that is very difficult to find in print, but it can be found on line.

"Lines of Credit: Ropes of Bondage"  written by Robert Henry Goldsborough

Chapter 10:

IN THE LATE 1940s and early 1950s after the successful prosecution of Soviet spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg who stole U.S. atomic bomb secrets for the USSR, and Soviet espionage agent Alger Hiss who was foreign policy "advisor" to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and later the president of the huge tax-exempt Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, there was a realization that the government needed to discover and then interdict the funding sources of the Soviet agents and communist operations in America.

Hence, twice in the early 1950s, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to establish a "special" or "select" committee to conduct a complete investigation of tax-exempt educational and philanthropic foundations and comparable organizations to determine if any of these foundations and organizations were misusing their funds "for un- American and subversive activities; for political purposes; propaganda or attempts to influence legislation."

Established in 1952 by a Democrat controlled House of Representatives, the first of these two committees was chaired by Representative Eugene E. Cox, (D-GA) and was popularly referred to as the Cox Committee.

In 1953, the Republican-controlled House established a "Special Committee to Investigate Tax-Exempt Foundations and Comparable Organizations" or "Reece Committee" named after its chairman Carroll B. Reece (R-TN).

The Cox Committee heard testimony from a number of knowledgable witnesses, including Fordham University faculty member Louis F. Budenz. Budenz, who, in addition to having been editor of the U.S. Communist Party's official paper the DAILY WORKER, had been a member of the party's ruling national committee for nine years until his break in 1945. He informed the House Committee that the Communist Party (CPUSA) had two specific objectives regarding foundations. "One, to obtain grants for Communists or those favorable to the Communist line on those matters which the Communists wished advanced . . . and then, secondly, to prevent if possible, critics of the Communist movement from getting grants." American communists were under direct orders from Moscow to make foundations and other organizations "transmission belts for the Communist line."

A CPUSA subcommittee on foundations supervised communist efforts in this regard, and targeted key foundations for penetration. Budenz named some of the target foundations, "They were the Carnegie, Rockefeller, and Guggenheim Foundations. Based on his own experience as a party official, Budenz gave the Committee specific examples of successful communist penetration and manipulation of foundations.

Testifying under oath, Budenz named individuals who as communists had become trustee members, or key officials or had received grants from a number of tax-exempt foundations. Some of these communist activists were in key teaching positions at prestigious colleges or universities. Some had received foundation grants to influence, from a radical communist viewpoint, civil-rights issues and others received large tax- exempt grants to "develop new forms of music." The recipients of foundation largess were well-placed to mold the impressionable young minds of the leaders of America's next generation.

A few of the Communist Party members named by Budenz were: Dr. Mary Van Kleek of the Rusell Sage Foundation and Smith College; Frederick Vanderbilt Field, millionaire head of his own tax-exempt American People's Fund; Doxie Wilkerson, board member of the General Education Board, a major Rockefeller philanthropy; Louise Bransten, a trustee of the Rosenberg Foundation; and Walter Gelhorn, recipient of a substantial grant from the Rockefeller Foundation for work on civil liberties studies at Cornell University. Gelhorn later denied that he was a member of the CPUSA but under cross examination reluctantly admitted to being a member of the National Lawyers Guild, cited by Congress as the legal arm of the CPUSA.

The Rockefeller Foundation also dispensed a large grant for the purpose of developing "new forms of music" to Hans Eisler, who, according to Budenz, was head of the Red International Music Bureau."of Moscow and had the specific commission in America "to direct the penetration of the musical world, composers, critics, and the like, for the Communist Party This information was given to Budenz by CPUSA cultural official Alexander Trachtenberg who smugly stated, "We are using capitalist money to destroy capitalism."

Those few examples indicate just how successful the Communist Party U.S.A. has been at using some of America's wealthiest and most respected tax-exempt foundations in order to finance Soviet espionage, promote communist propaganda, influence legislation and reshape young minds in America.

Since the premature and abrupt demise of the Reece Committee in 1954, and even though suspicions are that the situation remains much the same, there has been no congressional investigation of foundations to determine whether or not billions of tax-exempt dollars are being used in violation of the public trust and to finance subversive communist activities.

In January 1986, suggesting that the need for such a committee is even greater today than it was in the early '50s, Senator Jesse Helms, (R- NC) called for a new independent congressional committee with the full power of subpoena, to update the work of the Cox and Reece Committees. Unfortunately though, with just a few of the largest foundations controlling billions of dollars and dispensing hundreds of millions of those dollars annually to pet liberal projects, it is unlikely that the left-wing controlled Congress will challenge their tax-exempt status.

Mr. Brown also never responded to requests from the Abigail Adams Project, a group of moms and grandmothers, to take their survey.  That survey does not use any party signifier, but it does display shine a light on the character of the candidate. Furthermore, any candidate that can diminish the importance of what "MOMS" and "GRANDMOTHERS" are concerned with does not have honorable intentions in my opinion.

Mike Hogan did take the survey.

I had a great educational time last night, so many nails were hit on the head.
I felt very safe and comfortable, especially with two crack secret service agent in attendance.

The editor of the T-U is Frank Denton, who previously was editor of the Wisconsin State Journal. Now I don't know about you, but I highly suspect he is a flaming liberal and a progressive! After reading Tom Wright's challenge to Denton, I had to laugh at what Denton said just a week ago concerning debates between Hogan and Brown.   “What’s important about a debate is whether it helps voters understand the  candidates and get insights to inform their votes,” Denton said. “That requires  a direct exchange between the candidates – and, especially, honest,  straightforward and incisive questions from real journalists. That’s what’s at  stake here.”

Personally, I don't trust either Denton or Brown any more than I trust Trump. Be a responsible Mayor, Mike, we are counting on you!

I wanted thanks to everyone. It's not often we get the opportunity in life to participate in the unfolding of American History. My "behind the lens" point of view is to marvel at times how beautiful the American process remains and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, our right to peaceable assemble and express the energy of our convictions. All the volunteers and participants were great - "we WANT our voices heard, our votes do matter" really came through. Once again THANKS!

When the hecklers show up we stand directly in front of them if the news media is there we hold our signs up and get loud on the protable carry speaker unit.  When the (hateful) press is there we have a printed press release and we hand it to them and jus walk away and go to our friendly, respectful press folks.

I just sent a scathing letter to the editor of the Times Union. I directly challanged Mr. Dan Scanlan's ability to count. I further challanged them to have the "Guts" to print it.

The only reason I still get the T-U is because it's the only local newspaper available.

I gave two interviews during the event, one to the times union and one to news on 4.  Neither one went to print/video, guess they didn't want the truth!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
