THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED...BYE BYE MS AMERICAN PIE

In another show of a Federal government out of control and leading with the whip of tyranny, American-grown Gibson Guitar Company has been raided.  During the raid, the Department of Justice shut down operations and confiscated more than a million dollars worth of materials.

Gibson has not been charged with any violations and their materials have not been returned.

The story is right out of the movie, Atlas Shrugged.  In the movie, all companies must adhere to made-up, ever-changing rules and regulations OR be sold to the government or a government-approved company.  The free market dies in Atlas Shrugged.  Is this the ultimate goal of the Feds?

The CEO of Gibson is a Republican and a donor to Republican candidates.  The CEO of C. F. Martin & Company, competitor to Gibson, is a long-time Democratic supporter.

Another factor that might have something to do with this raid:  Tennessee is a right-to-work state.

Please watch the CEO of Gibson Guitar at a recent press conference.  He looks like a scary CEO with criminal intent, doesn’t he?  The press conference is nearly 30 minutes long so listen to it as you work.  There are many nuggets in his conference and you don’t want to miss any of them.

The Tea Parties across the country support the Free Market and we stand with Gibson.  We are hopeful Congress will investigate to see if Gibson has been unfairly targeted.

If you have the ability, please join more than 25 Tea Party groups who have formed a coalition and will host a rally in support of Gibson on Saturday, October 8th.  If you can attend, drive your Chevy to the levee and head to Nashville with your music blaring and your signs in support of Gibson on your car.

Keep abreast of plans for the rally at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gibson-Rally-2-4PM-Saturday-Oct-8-Nas...

If you are unable to attend, please send the CEO of Gibson a note of support.  You can reach him at:  http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Support/

This stuff is getting old and America is better than this.

Then it is ongoing stupidity.  I have gotten past the point of caring if it is democratic stupidity or Republican stupidity it has become just a mess of government stupidity.  I can only think of maybe two or three people in either the House or Senate that would be good enough to tie the shoes of the least of our founding fathers.  That is why we need real change not just change back to the GOP because the last time we changed to the GOP the American people still saw record spending and no real promotion of freedoms or liberty.

According to the 9-1-11 edition of the Wall Street Journal, the first raid was in November 2009 and a second was conducted on August 24, 2010. While there were also tax questions on the table back then, they became a separate issue and, apparently, resolved. Either way, 3 raids in 3 consecutive years sounds like a campaign.

the first raid against Gibson was in 2008 (pre-Obama).  The Lacey Act was amended in 2008 to include trees, and that was supported by Senator Lamar Alexander (R) from TN.  Let's not let get ahead of ourselves.  the Lacey Act is crazy, but this is an ongoing problem

B"H  Thank you once again, Billie.  You can tell this man is such a decent fellow. How humiliating and yet he is standing up and speaking out with gentle, but fearless resolve.  G*d bless him for it.  shalom

the only claim to fame this administration has is their blatant abuse of federal power to accomplish their motives and agendas. the gibson company is just one on a long list of targets in the private sector.

One more example of how this country has it's fingers in the pies of almost every other country.  That is also why other countries don't like us because we think we know better how they should run their own countries.  Our government does such a good job running things over here it is just natural to want to expand to other countries and run things over there too.

I first became award of this two weeks ago when Cavuto interviewed the CEO about the most recent seizure by ARMED Federal agents.

The CEO said Gibson is in full compliance with the laws of the respective countries the company is importing the exotic woods from. It's not just his word, either, but documented by the export licenses issued to Gibson BY each country. Gibson has provided this paperwork TO the DOJ.

The seizures, he says he was informed, is because the DOJ doesn't agree with how the countries are interpreting their export regulations on the exotic wood.

That's right. Our imperial Federal government has now apparently decided how other countries must interpret their own laws, and found those involving Gibson's importation of exotic woods somehow lacking.

Not that any other guitar manufactures in the US don't follow the same exact procedures when they import exotic wood from the same countries. They do.

But, only Gibson has been raided, had material confiscated, and all by ARMED Federal agents.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
