The Blaze: Blaze Exclusive: TX High School Students Made to Recite Mexican National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance

Heaven only knows what these lunatics will attempt to force the children in this country into next.  Everyone of them will be emotionally damaged by the time they get out of the public school system!

Students in a Texas public high school were made to stand up and recite the Mexican national anthem and Mexican pledge of allegiance as part of a Spanish class assignment, but the school district maintains there was nothing wrong with the lesson.

It happened last month in an intermediate Spanish class at Achieve Early College High School in McAllen, Texas — a city located about 10 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.

Wearing red, white and green, students had to memorize the Mexican anthem and pledge and stand up and recite them in individually in front of the class.

That didn’t go over well with sophomore Brenda Brinsdon. The 15-year-old sat down and refused to participate. She also caught it all on video:

“I just thought it was out of hand, I didn’t think it was right,” she told The Blaze. “Reciting pledges to Mexico and being loyal to it has nothing to do with learning Spanish.”

She said she was particularly offended because the presentations in teacher Reyna Santos’s class took place during “Freedom Week,” the week after the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, and on U.S. Constitution Day — the same day as Mexico’s Independence Day.

“Why are we doing their independence when it‘s Freedom Week and it’s also Constitution Day?” Brinsdon said.

Brinsdon said she complained to the school principal, Yvette Cavazo, who told her it was part of the curriculum and that she should participate. Her father, William, also got involved, calling the school district superintendent to complain.

So what, we now believe that we are going to cede Texas back to Mexico? It is  a non issue, whipped up by Glenn Beck to drive you to insanity.

My recitations of speeches made in Roman senate, my sister's singing of the french National anthem and this recitiation of the Mexican pledge, trust me, will be forgotten in a matter of days or weeks. It is not indoctrination. It is not brainwashing, it is just simple education. Move on, nothing to see here.

Patricia, Amanda clearly illustrates the erosion of Patriotism and standing up for our country, that has happened in the past four decades since the 60s. Now if you say something about illegals being illegal, you are wrong, If you say something about being a patriot and promoting our country, our National anthem, pledge, etc., you are wrong. How did it get so perverted? The Progressive Democrats that is how, they must be all  put out of office period. Their views are only shared by around 20% of our population.

In 2012 the American people will push for even more Conservative Candidates because of this corruption and corrosion in our country.

Amanda, I don't have any trouble at all with what you learned and had to read, but I do have a problem with people being forced to recite allegiance to another country in real time today.  They have no business using their pledge or national anthem as a teaching tool when so much else is available.  I took Spanish, and I can assure you we were not asked to do such a thing.  It is wrong on a number of levels and so is singing the Canadian National Anthem between innings unless a Canadian team is playing and they play both National Anthems (ours and theirs).

The teaching of the cultures of other countries has got to stop. In Latin class we had to stand and read speeches of made in the Roman Senate.

Et tu, Brute'?

I remember my sister singing the French National anthem.

At Florida State University baseball games, they sing the Canadien National Anthem between innings.

Enough!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
