Stop The Smart Meters

Please see the article below. We MUST get on the phone and call our US House Representative. Ask them not to support this bill. It will make smart meters MANDATORY. Once it is mandatory we will be hooked and controlled. You do not need a smart meter to accomplish what they SAY the need it to accomplish. Once we are hooked up to the grid listening to our personal conversations in our own homes becomes a reality. If you can THINK of what this could lead to then believe it WILL happen. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 made this policy voluntary (at the customer's request). And they have ignored that law. Do you really think once they get a meter on every home it will stop with just measuring your energy use for more efficient use and billing??? THAT IS NOT THE REAL AGENDA with Smart Meters!!

Tom, because you live in a communal setting you do not get a say. This bill only applies to those living sfd's. Sorry, the government is probably already listening in to you. Have you noticed any clicking sounds on your phones or an audible clicking sound when you turn on your lights? If so they are there already.

I understand the phone company wants to put smartphones into homes also. These will allow the government to listen directly into your conversations even when your phone is not in use. More big brother.

Take a look at your meter JEA has been using "Advanced Meters" for some time.

I live in a condo complex and we have them every where. JEA is not responding to request to remove them.
