I'VE JUST RETURNED FROM THE ARLINGTON MEETING , MS JOHNSONS TALK ON THE LACK OF ETHICS IN OUR CITY WAS MOST ENLIGHTENING. I AGREE WITH HER PLEAD FOR SUPPORT FOR ORDINANCE 2011-167THAT CALLS FOR A STRONGER ETHICS CODE. WE SHOULD ALL CALL- WRITE-EMAIL ALL MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL AND DEMAND IT'S  APPROVAL. WHEN PASSED WE WILL HAVE THE POWER TO DEMAND AN END TO THE TYPE OF DEALS THAT BOIL OUR SKIN.

I wish it were that simple but Laws created by a government cannot enforce belief, but a government can interdict action, and the individual actions which will be the object of penal sanctions done in the name of Justice have always been defined by Biblical Christian morality. If not the people who make the laws also choose which laws to enforce and to whom they want to enforce them against. The proposed ethics code is a move in the right direction but We should TAKE ACTION to make sure it preserves at least one slot on the commission for a member of "We the People". see: http://www.jaxdailyrecord.com/showstory.php?Story_id=533091
