Reading the Tea Leaves with Mary Ann - "Playing by the Rules: Distracting Tea Party Members from Critical Agenda"

We welcome Mary Ann as a weekly blogger for the First Coast Tea Party. Mary Ann is a supportive member of the Tea Party Movement and when she is not writing for us she is a pharmacist in real life.

Prologue: President Obama helped fund The Woods Fund, a nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director from 1999 to December 2002. This organization provided startup funding and later capital to the Midwest Academy. Midwest describes itself as 'one of the nation's oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change. Midwest teaches Saul Alinsky tactics of community organizing. Saul Alinsky was a Marxist.

On page 10 in Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals" he states: "A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism."

Could this be the true agenda of this administration? Is that why the Tea Party Movement is being targeted and maligned?

Reading the Tea Leaves with Mary Ann...

The continued attacks on the Tea Party Movement by the media and the Obama administration are straight from Saul Alinsky’s book “Rules for Radicals”. Alinsky’s influenced the current regime; Hillary Clinton interviewed and wrote a thesis about Alinsky, while Barak Obama taught Alinsky theories. Like President Obama, Alinsky was a community organizer. He wrote his book “Rules for Radicals” for organizers that want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be by taking power from the “Haves” and giving it to the “Have-Nots”. Alinsky provides a collection of rules to guide this process:

  • Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, conceal your actual numbers but create newsworthy chaos which will make everyone think you have many more people than you do. You see this in action with the busing in of the same pool of protesters for every “green” protest, immigration reform protest, anti-war protests (which, of course, now that President Bush is out of office have all but disappeared) etc.
  • Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people. This will lead to confusion and portray incompetence; perhaps this explains Janet Napolitano and Joe Biden.
  • Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent.
  • Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. It’s impossible for any organization to be perfect. However, there is a definite double standard applied to Liberals responsibility to “play by the rules” with major infractions such as Senator Byrd’s use of the “N” word easily forgiven vs. the forced retirement of Senator Lott over his questionable comments. Liberals completely disregard any ethical book of rules to live by, as exemplified by placing tax evaders in key positions such as Secretary of Treasury, a Senator under investigation for bribery on the Senate Finance committee, and Czars that included self-avowed communists and wacko radicals that want birth control put in our water!
  • Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage. The Tea Party movement has often been ridiculed by being portrayed as red-neck, un-educated, lower-income, racist, right-winged radicals. However, recent statistics about Tea Party members show that over 50% are Democrats and Independents, and a large percentage are college graduates and middle – income earners. So Liberals switched the focus to racism since most of the current members are white, how convenient.
  • Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. Attacks on Sarah Palin…need I say more?
  • Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Have you noticed that attacks on Conservatives, as well as the Tea Party, seem to change almost weekly? Flavor of the week last week was racism against African-Americans, this week it’s anti-immigration bigotry.
  • Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. With the recent revelations about Goldman-Sachs, Wall Street is once again under scrutiny and attack. The recent oil spill off Louisiana’s coast will be used to attack energy expansion measures and portray Conservatives as anti-environment. Cap and Trade and the Financial Reform bills will now be heralded as urgent measures that our all knowing, benevolent government needs to pass in order to take care of us.
  • Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. How many times have we heard Barak Obama tell us something is a “crisis” and must be averted by passing whatever is next on the Liberals agenda?
  • Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
  • Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. The Obama regime has tried to isolate the movement through portraying it as extremists (polarizing) and racists (personalizing), while ignoring its voice and passing health care reform (freezing). Tactics used to support this tactic included unfounded racist accusations and planting saboteurs at Tea Party meetings. Michelle Malkin tells the story of a Progress Now (a left-wing outfit) saboteur that pulled out a sign with Obama’s name covered by a swastika sign, away from her view, so they could get it in the photo with her at a Tea Party meeting. Nothing is too unscrupulous because Alinsky exhorts his followers that any means support the end.

Another target of President Obama is Wall Street. His recent comment that he thinks at some point you make enough money, was only directed at the evil capitalists that run corporations. Does this philosophy apply to professional athletes or Hollywood starlets that make more than most CEO’s and don’t provide jobs? No, because it’s much more profitable to “target, freeze, personalize, and polarize” big corporations. Remember, the agenda is to take from the “Haves” and give to the “Have-Nots”. This is all orchestrated to expand government power base through increased regulation and taxation under the guise of being the ever-benevolent protector.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting, “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.” Tea Party members need to be aware of what Liberals real agenda and motivation is in order to fight the temptation to be reactive instead of proactive. Fighting the unfounded attacks on the Tea Party movement is a time & energy waster. Our primary goals should be defining who we are and what we stand for through education, political activism, and effective communication.

Now that we know the enemies playbook, let’s not get distracted. Our focus needs to remain on educating Americans about the new reform measures this regime is trying to get pushed through next, like Cap and Trade, Financial Reform, along with continued efforts to repeal the healthcare reform. Informing voters on candidates’ qualifications and records is of vital importance with the upcoming elections less than seven months away.

We need to anticipate the up-coming battles such as amnesty for illegal aliens. The Obama regime is being forced to address immigration ahead of their post November election timeline due to Arizona’s recent passing of the immigration law, SB1070. This regime has every intention of trying to grant amnesty to illegal aliens in order to increase their voter base. Successful or not, they will win Hispanic loyalty by attempting to grant amnesty while painting Conservatives as bigots and heartless. Be prepared for the battles ahead because they will be hard fought in the forum of public opinion by this regime and the “lame stream” media.

I love this quote by Winston Churchill and believe that this is exactly what he would say to the Tea Party today; “You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” I am proud to be standing alongside my fellow Tea Party members and fighting for a worthy cause, our country’s future.

Thank you, Billie J. Tucker for Bringing to our attention, and introducing Mary Ann- to us all!
Mary Ann- What a wonderful blog! We all need to be shocked awake from our complacent apathy, as such I feel you have accomplished this, in this Blog!

This being said, I think one of the next things in order is for a pledge. The only thing that I vow and pledge to allow myself to be Distracted from is all Noncritical Agenda, such as TV: soap opera's, comedy shows: Sporting Events: wrestling, boxing, baseball, football, etc.: Rerun Movies etc.
It is not my intent to discredit any of the Attention Pleasures we have come to love, but for me to merely say, (in our would be death troughs, as the Progressives would like us to be in), we must concentrate and focus our attentions on the restoration of our beloved Republic!

Therefor: For me it's only a mater of priorities, when we've won back our Republic, then maybe I'll again allow some Attention Pleasures into my life again: never_ never, ever allowing my complacency to control me again! Do I think every one should follow this pledge, No! If however you should find yourself feeling guilty, while indulging in Attention Pleasures, you'll then know what to do!
Mary Ann, Would you allow me to circulate this Blog? It cries for mass attention!
May the Blessings Be!

Does Alinsky mention the use of religion to distract and divide the citizens? It appears to me that if the state becomes the source of religion then religions will be regulated. I do not need the state to declare a national day of prayer. In my life every day is a day of prayer. I thank God every day for the talents and blessing I have received. I do not understand why religious leaders continually abdicate their responsibilities to the successors of Caesar and his tax collectors.
It would be appropriate to have religious leaders declare a national day of prayer.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
