Please show up if possible for the fiance committee meeting on sept 21, 2010 ...they will be talking about the 25% increase of millage ...which means more taxes...especially homeowners and investors show up everyone that can come please come...

On sept 28,2010 everyone please show up or they will increase besides the 17% already another 25% of property taxes .....both meetings will be held at 117 west duval city hall Jacksonville Florida...on the sept 21 at 10 am = finance committee

sept 28 at 5pm = final city council vote...... please call all your city council people and tell them we cannot afford any more taxes........... all the investors also please attend ...or your taxes will go through the roof as are the homeowners that are just trying to survivie paying there bills... They do not need any more taxes....None of us do............REMEMBER ONE LET US UNITE AND STAND UP NO MORE TAXES AND NO NEW TAXES.. THEY NEED TO CUT THE CITY BUDGET MORE.. Hi Patricia....I will be at the SEPT 28,2010 MEETING BEFORE 500AM.. sorry I could not make it yesterday (medical)... Yes, please I hope, everyone either call or email all the city council men and women.... and on SEPTEMBER 28,2010 EVERYONE SHOULD BE AT THIS FINAL VOTE MEETING TO VOICE OUR DISAPPROVAL..AS they the city HAS TO GET THERE SPENDING UNDER CONTROL....WE HAD TOO...NO MORE TAXES ON PROPERTY...........THANK YOU PATRICIA, DAN AND TED FOR GOING......

Anne, well Dan, Ted and I went to this meeting and we all had something to say. Ted Wendler spent 100s of hours of his own time working on the city budget past and present and put together an unbelievable presentation with recommendations for a number of things. Dan has sent wonderful letters and pressed the issues. I have gone to a couple of town halls, the mayor's presentation and went again today. Ted and Dan have done so much work on this, but not one single other person showed up. No one heard the 3 people from the library thanking the city council for not making them cut their hours and they said they were grateful for whoever lobbied on their behalf. Apparently, the fact we are broke and in the hole doesn't matter if you write a bunch of letters and get another group to lobby for you, and no one was there in any kind of numbers to have any impact again. I hope above hope that some people wrote letters.
