Cilla, glad you're there poll watching. Was very disappointed with the numbers of poll watchers this year. They have had less sign up this year than back in 2008. It's a little discouraging when you see people seemingly so energized about an election and constantly asking "what can I do", yet when and where you need them the most, they don't get involved. I'm thinking that part of the problem is that the local GOP waited until the last minute to even put the call out for poll watchers. It seems that, even with counting the days until this election for 18 months now, some organizations still don't have their act together. But we're taking notes on things that WILL be improved upon in the future!!

Yep, Corrine does this every election. It's called her "quick picks". I am also convinced that she is paying these people to come out and vote as well.

I would love to be involved more with these events, but I volunteered as a poll watcher everyday through the election. I must tell you all that I have seen some things that I find quite disturbing out at the Norwood SOR office. Corrine Brown's office is right accross the parking lot and people go over there and get a preprinted ballot and then walk across the lot and just come in and copy onto the official ballot. If you don't want to do your due diligence and know who and what you are voting for, don't vote. This is a shame!!!

Let's face it. Citizens can always fight development and win. The Argyle Area Civic Council led the fight with emails, faxes and LITTLE or NO MONEY against a Walgreen's in a residential neighborhood and the developer finally withdrew the application. IF AMENDMENT 4 PASSES, THEN ONLY WEALTHY DEVELOPERS WITH HIGH PRICED MARKETING AND ADVERTISING AGENCIES WILL BE ABLE TO GET LAND USE PLANS APPROVED WITH EXPENSIVE ADDITIONAL ELECTIONS.
I will be there on Wednesday to help man the phones with 20+ years of making SUCCESSFUL phone calls.

Mr. Adams,
I agree with you, I too am tired of John Thrasher and ALL party establishments. However, this condition has flourished in the environment of apathetic involvement from the electorate, "We The People." The Tea Party was borne out of hard-working, everyday, common citizens that joined, initially, with no definitive goal. We did not have political knowledge, experience, or connections. We did; however, learn just how corrupt our nation has become at the hand of our complacency. Now, we are "Activating Our Citizenship" and becoming involved, educated, and empowered. There is no "establishment" taking over my voice, and I would add, probably not my fellow tea party friends. Don't lose hope, we are all in this together.

@James H. Adams: "Vote yes on Amendment 4, and return power to local people!" Actually, should Amendment 4 pass, we will lose control of what happens in our own neighborhoods. Think about it, people in far flung parts of the county will be able to vote on what happens in your neighborhood and won't really care, because it isn't in their neighborhood and doesn't effect them. VOTE NO ON 4!

Mr. Adams, apparently you do NOT want to return to a true constitutional republic, otherwise you would recognize amendment 4 for what it is - "mob rule" and not an act of a republic at all. You completely contradict yourself.

And if you truly think we are being taken over the old-line Republicans, you obviously have NOT been paying attention to anything that has been going on over the past 18 months in this country. Time and again the tea parties all over this nation have helped send incumbent and "mainstream" Republicans packing in primary after primary. Believe me, the old guard in the GOP is NOT happy with us one bit! If there is any kind of alliance it is because they GOP has joined the tea party, NOT the other way around. The GOP has finally realized, albeit reluctantly, that the tea party is doing what they should have been doing all these years - restoring our country back to its conservative roots.

@James H. Adams: Sir, if you support the Constitution, why in yell would you support CHANGING it? Go back to your blogging for Obama in your shorts in your basement! You are so proud of your heritage of being a "cousin to past presidents" you won't even name them...Let me guess - Woodrow Wilson or Theodore Roosevelt?

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
