If I were Mitt Romney------The American people have lost confidence in the intelligence, and the integrity of our own political and religious leaders. Leaders who profess to have "deep and personal" faith, and then go out of their way everyday to prove this faith has no place or bearing in the practical decisions they make. When that confidence is lost, regaining it is difficult.  No one seems capable of taking the lead and rallying the moral people of our nation. I, Mitt Romney, am the man that can do that.
To me individual freedom of choice is a gift from our creator, a birthright of all humanity. How that freedom is used is a personnel choice. Freedom of choice carries a great assumption of risk, as bad decisions have negative consequences.
We see the results almost daily as the lack of an individual moral code of ethics is creating another Sodom and Gomorra, right here in American where anything goes, where absolute or objective truth is denied outright. We seem to be a country controlled by people with no moral values. This lack of morality is destroying us from within and creating the biggest negative image for our nation abroad. It has been used as the rallying cry by Radical Islamic people for the call to jihad against the United States of America. We were once scene as a light upon a hill, a beacon welcoming the poor, the hungry and heavy laden. Today, we are scene as the great Satan.  The only question remaining is when we as a Christian Nation will start worshiping other gods and following their laws as the law based on the Christian Bible is dispatched in their favor. This is the world we live in. Why should you care about our ability to counter this kind of cultural onslaught?
If judges, politicians, business leaders, religious leaders (of which there are too many examples in the news everyday) or individuals do not have a moral basis upon which to make decisions, anything goes, the ultimate example being extramarital sex in the oval office. These bad moral decisions have brought suffering to many people, and even our entire nation.

Today, the challenge is to evaluate the moral positions of the decisions we make and the platforms upon which we stand. I will not be one to say that my religion will not have any basis on the decisions I make in running this great nation, I will not leave my morals at the door of the Oval Office. I think it is time for each and everyone of us to do a little national soul searching and understand where we stand morally as individuals and as a nation.

Look how far we have fallen in one generation 44+ years, since the legalization of abortion, when the loss of thousands of men and women in open battle for years to support our freedom is considered too much while in the same amount of time the sacrifice of millions of unborn babies for the preservation of a convenient lifestyle is totally acceptable.

The decision to legalize abortion not only has divided the nation it has contributed directly to the major problems we face today. I find it amazing that the number of abortions closely corresponds to the number of illegal immigrants entering our country. Do we really need these foreign workers or do we just need to get our priorities right at home?

We are at war both on the open battle field and morally. Can we win these wars?

Which is greater the moral war or the military war?

Ask yourself as our early leaders did. Can any free democratic government be permanent, where the public worship of God, and the support of religion, constitutes no part of the policy or duty of the government? Can a free democratic society exist without teaching a religious moral or ethical basis for decision making to its children?

Morality cannot be established by the rule of law. Our legal structure, the Constitution of the United States of  America based on the Ten Commandments is the law of the land. It cannot exist in a void, it requires an underlying moral edifice as affirmed by the oath of office, and the assumption of risk without it nothing works; with it all is possible.

Tell me, you who want to be under the law only, do you not listen to the law? Pick one of the many volumes. You cannot be under the law, only in service to those who interpret the intent of the law. Having only the freedoms they, those in power, choose to allow.

As a nation we need to support freedom of religion and democracy world wide. Individual freedom is a powerful thing. We also need to teach moral responsibility on a world wide basis for against love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control there is no law.
What is your prayer for our nation today as we prepare to help win the moral battle and support our military? I offer the following as my prayer for today.
We acknowledge you Almighty God, asking forgiveness for our sins as a nation, we are grateful for our very existence; we humbly implore your protection and favor. "Hear, O our GOD, how we are despised! Return their reproach on their own heads and give them up for plunder in a land of captivity."

Enlighten our eyes O Lord our God lest we sleep the sleep of death! Lest our enemies say they have overcome us, lest our adversaries rejoice when we are shaken, from within.

We have trusted you as a nation O Lord our God. Many of us continue to trust you even in these days of drunken jubilation, celebrating our many freedoms and position among the nations.

Forgive us our transgressions O Lord our God, for we have sinned against you. Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor we have failed.

We acknowledge with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God upon our nation. Especially the opportunity afforded our founders to peaceably establish our form of government and those allowing and providing for our safety and happiness through the course of our accession. We sing your praises once again Lord. For God has dealt bountifully with us.

Help us O Lord our God, as a nation to arise and build and bless You again. Help us return to teaching our children the Ten Commandments and the history of our country, including the events of 9/11. Help us be an example so that when people and nations despair in their trials, troubles and tribulations they will see the Grace of God shine on us, and seek to know Him themselves.

Let us pray as George Washington did with Thanksgiving in our heart "that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have show kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best." Given, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789.

Amanda, those of us who read these blog posts on a regular basis know that you are not a Romney supporter and you have stated many times in the past you  will not vote for him.  So why all the blah-blah-blah about what you dislike about him?  And, by the way, you're listening to the MSM again - there is no proof of who is winning or losing except speculation, conjecture and skewed polls.

Let us know how you guy Gary Johnson is doing too? Is he winning?

At least we dont' have the Ron Paul for President campaign going on here any more...

Romney is the "most conservative" candidate in years. Certainly we are excluding everyone else in the Republican primary this year from that tote.
Mitt has said "I am a progressive", " I am no Reagan Republican." When he was governor of Massachusetts he started Obamacare. He was pro-choice ( which I believe is a conservative position) supported a cap and tax plan for power plant emissions, and on and on.
He has taken out three different positions on Obamacare in the same day.
No one knows who wer are getting with Romney beause he is for nothing. If you only want to vote against Obama, then he is your man. Because that is all he stands for.
Would he favor a stimulus plan? How long would we stay in Afghanistan? How is he going to deal with the deficit? What is his plan? That is why he is falling in the polls, Obama has defined him and he has offered no other portrait that is believable.
If the income tax system is broken, what is his solution? The only tax plan he has put forward gives a tax cut to the country's richest citizens, and he tells us he will tell us how he is going to pay for it after the election. Like Obama or not, he is the first guy in years to run on a tax increase. That at lest takes some cajones, like it or not. Mitt needs to show courage.
He is losing it, when asked this question by a pool reporter look at his answer:
On the trail yesterday, Mitt Romney came up with an interesting answer to a question about his campaign strategy:

As Romney walked back to the plane to shake hands with the five individuals who drove vans in the motorcade, your pooler asked Romney if he was going to be campaigning a little harder from here on out.

"Ha ha. We’re in the stretch aren’t we? Look at those clouds. It’s beautiful,” he said, pointing to the sky. “Look at those things

Romney as a person is the most conservative individual we have had running for the office of President in many years. You issue is with his misguided Republican idea that he must run to the center in order to get elected. That is total nosense. If he would take a stand for American and our traditional valves which he and his family have lived by the consertatives would follow him, the independents would come onboard...It would be great to see someone make decisions and stand behind them instead of lying...... If you want this country to work Mitt Romney has proven that he can and will find the people with the ideas, the solutions and the willingness to move the country forward. The income tax and legal system are broken.......both have thousands upon thousands of pages of rules and regulations. Some people have the money to pay someone to study those rules and regulations and avoid taxes and legal issues while other people seem to think they have the power to use executive decisions to help their friends and punish innocent people. Neither is correct. We are on the boat together. It will sink if we don't stand together!

Back to the point, the reason Romney is losing is because he never was the conservative choice. And why wasn't a conservative able to beat Romney in the primaries? Because none can pass the litmus test put forth by tue crazies who think there are FEMA camps. And Masons, secret UN Agendas, Bilderbergers, and all the rest because and win an election across this country, let alone a Republican primary. The sooner we put that nonsense aside the sooner we get down to the business of making this country work. The sooner we stop worrying about boogeymen, boogeymen that come in a hundred different shapes and forms and get to work finding solutions that address our issues the better.
Romney said in June that it he paid one cent more than in income taxes than he was legally requires to then he would be unfit to be president. Well in 2011 he paid half a million more in taxes than he had to by law. So he is way unfit to be president. He denegrated veterans and social security recipients as well as poor working people. Sorry Mitt the way you talk about us with your rich friends leaves me cold.

Miss Choate I apologies for using your first name. I am a retired blue collar worker with very little education. I speak with a southern draw. If we spoke face to face you would not undsestand half of what I said. America is a Republic under Constitutional law. The founding fathers said it plain. our right to life and liberty come from our Creator. The Constitution of the United States came from prayer and the truth found in the Holy Bible. In my Ten Commandents country you could open a Business on Sunday. People could not murder unborn babies.Do not they have the right to life given   by the Creator. The goverment could not steal money from We The People and give it to women to have babies so they will get more goverment money fro crack. Homosexuals and lesbians could do what ever floats their boat, but not in public. You could not give childern condoms at grade school. you could not teach school childern it,s up to you if you wont to be a boy or girl. If a pearson dont honor their Father And Mother they will find what go,s around comes around. My country would be like America be for it voted Out.

One at a time.
Mr. Barrow, you make my point for me. My beliefs are my own and none of the government's business. Further in your world of a country that adheres to the Ten Commandments, am I able to open my business on Sunday? If I do not honor my parents what punishment? Blaspheme? Gay? If we are a Christian country these are real questions. As for the truths given to me by my creator that never change, well they changed between the Old Testament and New. From the First Nicene Council to Martin Luther to The Second Vatican Council they have changed incredibly.
Joe, Winthrop though an earnest man, had no hand in the writing of our Constitution and indeed the Constitution is a far cry what Winthrop would have had. Franklin, Jefferson, Madison among others were from the Enlightenment. Locke was more a guide to them than Winthrop or the bible.
They were more about individual freedom than religious promilgation. They were well aware of the problems associated with state religions. Even here in the Colonies religious intolerance created problems. Rhode Island and Pennsylvania were formed because of intolerance. So to say the framers intended something that they never wrote into the Constitution is fallacy. Further they make specific their intent with fhe First Ammendment.
Helen, no one is prohibited from the practice of their religion. In fact, if you give money to your church, you don't have to pay taxes on that money. That is freedom. Churches have every right to change the heart of the individual. But no right to assert that their beliefs have a place above all others in the public square.

Somewhere a line must be drawn in the sand to support Individual freedom.

Individual freedom is a powerful thing but with it comes moral responsibility to do the right thing. Against love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, respect for others and self-control there is no need for law and no need for war.
But when moral character is lost thousands upon thousands of pages of laws, regulations and hunderds of enforecement agencies cannot control people. That is why as a nation we have the largest prison population in the world.

The statement is made that we have freedom "of and from" religion.  The problem lies in the inability of people to accept both sides.  If one chooses to be an atheist, that is their choice.  I can not force them to attend church or believe in something and that is okay with me.  But the atheist will not accept the fact that the other persons' belief and their desire to hold services, pray, etc, should be respected.  There are many analogies one could make - I don't drink, but the owner's of the local bar has a right to serve, be in business, etc.  My sister doesn't eat meat, but she knows I have the right to have a burger.  WHY is religion a place where no one is able to see both sides?  The extremists in the middle east are not angry because of a stupid film nor our religion - they HATE AMERICA because of what we are, or have been... successful, powerful, independent and FREE.  They have been taught hatred their entire lives, not unlike the irrational hate that young children were taught in Northern Ireland between Catholic and Protestant for generations.  Much of that violence and hatred has eased with education, peace workers, and women and men saying to each other "stop killing one another".

When will we wake up?  This not about religion.  This is about our culture of success and freedom.  It seems about right that Obama would be on The View instead of meeting with leaders.  He hates our culture too.

Thanks William,

Amanda---

We are one nation under God with Liberty and Justice for all.  A majority of the country still recognizes that God is in control of everything. We believe in a judging, loving and forgiving God who holds every individual accountable for their own thoughts and actions.  We are not a society ruled by the clergy, state religion or any established religion but we are a nation in crisis.

"When written in Chinese, the word 'crisis' is composed of two characters.

One represents danger and the other represents opportunity."

President John F. Kennedy[ii]

Some might say we have reached a "crucial decision point" that will determine the future of our nation and they would be correct as well for in either case change will occur.  Appeasement is the failure to take action when faced with a crisis; leadership is the ability to provide a vision for the future and realize it by taking action.

We are the generation of his future to arrive at the point feared by a founder of the Harvard Law School Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, who wondered if we could survive as a nation if we did not “teach our children about religion and morality as restraints upon the liberal sensual desires of freemen”.

As a nation we have not established our national identity and communicated it to our children or the world. We have removed God from the public square and as a result we have lost the character, the vision and the Spirit that brought 13 states in the wild frontier to the leadership position of the world.  Our God given freedom is being taken from us.

The thousands upon thousands of rules and regulations placed into the federal register will never be able to control a population without individual moral values and the Christian religion is the only one I know that teaches individual responsibility. I fear the day when appeasement of the Islamic religion establishes a majority in this nation. The beachhead that Obama has created for the Muslim brotherhood will be followed by a wave of internecine violence like we see in the Middle East where deadly force is the only authority reconized.

The Muslim Brotherhood is on the march. They have been given control of the Islamic world!

Libya is the point of Conflagration between radical Islam and the West! The ensuing conflict between the rule by fear and the peace that surpasses all understanding is building to a crescendo that will engulf the entire world.

Islamophobia is not prejudice against, hatred or fear of Islam or Muslims it is a very real concern that Islam is rapidly taking over our Christian society. There must be a limit to appeasement! Our President exposes concern to the world about a poorly made junk movie that he used as cover to explain away a terrorist attack in a country that will not allow Christians or the Bible to even exist in the open.

Somewhere a line must be drawn in the sand!

The Constitution of the United   States of America

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

So, what about BLESSINGS? What are Blessings? With what liberties are we blessed? First and foremost, Psalms 33:12 declares "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." "In God we Trust" on our coins and "under God" in our Pledge of Allegiance attest the Lord is our God. The Declaration of Independence (Articles of Incorporation) acknowledges God's dominion and providence; and our dependence upon and our subjection to Him, alone.

Blessings of Liberty

John Winthrop, one of the founders of Puritan Massachusetts, enunciated his famous doctrine of federal liberty in 1645.

There is a two-fold liberty, natural (I mean as our nature is now corrupt) and civil or federal. The first is common to man with beasts and other creatures. By this, man, as he stands in relation to man simply, hath liberty to do what he lists; it is a liberty to evil as well as to good. This liberty is incompatible and inconsistent with authority and cannot endure the least restraint of the most just authority. The exercise and maintaining of this liberty makes men grow more evil and in time to be worse than brute beasts: omnes sumus licentia deteriores. This is that great enemy of truth and peace, that wild beast, which all of the ordinances of God are bent against, to restrain and subdue it. The other kind of liberty I call civil or federal; it may also be termed moral, in reference to the covenant between God and man, in the moral law, and the politic covenants and constitutions between men themselves. This liberty is the proper end and object of authority and cannot subsist without it; and it is a liberty to that only which is good, just and honest. This liberty you are to stand for, with the hazard (not only of your goods, but) of your lives if need be.[i]

No human authority ought, in any case whatever, to control or interfere with the rights of individual conscience, the natural liberty of John Winthrop’s two liberties. The freedom of choice God has provided man from the day of Adam and Eve. This is the basis of the American system of government. :"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great Nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded freedom of worship here." Patrick Henry 1776

Federal liberties or communal liberties are necessary to prevent the disasters of anarchy and the diseases of natural liberty. Federal liberty is possible without lapsing into totalitarian tyranny only when it is constitutionalized so that there are ordered rules of the game established by agreement among the participants in accordance with prudence and reason. As we all know, the founders believed that individual liberty could only survive if proper republican institutions were established to both contain and foster it. For that purpose some of the liberties are listed in the Constitution and the Declaration: speech; assembly; innocent until proven guilty; speedy trial by jury; own and freely use property; travel at will; worship at will; justice; patents and copyright; representative government; governed with the consent of the governed; free press; keep and bear arms; secure in person, house, papers, and effects; no double jeopardy; due process; freely elect representatives; etc. Plus, per the Bill of Rights, other freedoms not specifically proscribed.

"humbly acknowledging Almighty God as the source of all authority and power in civil government, the Lord Jesus Christ as the Ruler among the nations, [and] His revealed will as the supreme law of the land, in order to constitute a Christian government."

Americans know something without a name is undermining the nation, turning the mind mushy when it comes to separating truth from falsehood and right from wrong. And they don't like it."[ii]

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
