Gibson gun bill aimed at mentally ill is moving; measure requiring anger classes before ammo purchases going nowhere

Time for this lady to find another job I would think.  I understand she is with the group that thinks controlling every little thing is their right, but I still think we need to vote her out over stuff like this.  Who will make the decisions about who is not mentally stable?  Will it be the same as calling me a domestic terrorist?  Over the top?  Will people be judged by folks who would use the term domestic terrorist and see nothing wrong with it?  Maybe Obama could decide based on your political party, religion or whether or not you are on his list of enemies?  What will the criteria be and who will make the final call???

A bill sponsored by state Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville, that would temporarily suspend a mentally ill person's gun rights has unanimously cleared a Senate panel.

The Senate Criminal Justice Committee on Monday passed the bill (SB 1000) that would authorize a 90-day suspension of the ability to buy or keep a firearm or ammunition and to carry a concealed weapon.

The suspension would be triggered if a person was involuntarily committed for psychological examination and found to be a threat to him- or herself and others. An initial 90-day suspension can be extended if a treating physician or psychologist deems it necessary.

The measure is supported by longtime guns-rights activist Marion Hammer. She is a former National Rifle Association president.

A second gun bill filed by Gibson that would require a an anger management evaluation prior to purchasing ammunition is having less luck. It was given four committee stops – three is considered average – and has yet to be placed on an agenda.

“I still believe in it, but I don’t think that bill is getting heard,” Gibson said.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
