Examiner: Libya has destroyed the Democrats' credibility

Very good read.  And, Mr. Moon is right when he says: 

reversing course on Guantanamo Bay (executing an unarmed man begging for his life without a trial of any kind in Libya is something to celebrate, but detaining and holding terrorists captured on the battlefield in Afghanistan is a crime against humanity). 

One wonders if Obama even notices how much disparity there is in what he says and does and the impact it is having which is 100% his fault.

Still grasping at straws for a White House policy that can be spun as anything other than an unmitigated disaster, the news media are falling over each other (see here and here) to celebrate Obama's continuation of Bush's policy on Libya--with the added twist of replacing Muammar Gaddafi with al Qaida-connected jihadists from the Muslim Brotherhood.

This so-called "victory" is yet another example of reality forcing Obama to admit that Democrat policies don't work--like the killing of Osama bin Laden (made possible by no one listening to Obama on prisoner interrogations--as I noted here), victory in Iraq (made possible by 'The Surge,' which Obama insisted would never work), isolating Iran (which Obama condemned under Bush), and reversing course on Guantanamo Bay (executing an unarmed man begging for his life without a trial of any kind in Libya is something to celebrate, but detaining and holding terrorists captured on the battlefield in Afghanistan is a crime against humanity).

It is also another example of Obama congratulating himself for the successes of his opponents' policies--which he spent years trashing and undermining--and using them to justify pushing more of the left's time-disproven "appease, grovel and surrender" approach (the one that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Vietnam, caused 9/11 and put Islamo-fascist lunatics in charge of Iran), thereby undoing everything that has been accomplished--including him immediately rushing in to use this "victory" in Libya to abandon our allies in Iraq.

Additionally, it would normally seem unwise for Democrats to so enthusiastically take credit for the violent overthrow of a sovereign power...

• Especially knowing that the regime in question is being replaced with one composed primarily of Islamic extremists;
• Especially since Obama did not get permission from Congress;
• Especially after spending nearly a decade straight complaining that their opponents "distracted us" from the "real war" in Afghanistan and from the "bigger threat" in Iran (even though we hadn't yet attempted any serious diplomacy with that regime);
• Especially after years of calling their opponents "war-mongers" for fighting back, even though Democrats have gotten us into (and botched) virtually every war we've been in for the last hundred years (not to mention, the four additional Central African countries into which Democrats have just sent U.S. troops);
• Especially after relentlessly undermining Iraq with hysterical conspiracy theories about "blood for oil" (our post-journalism 'news media' now celebrate removing dictators to take their oil);
• Especially after inventing the bogus "Mission Accomplished" gaffe out of thin air against President Bush and turning it into a full-scale media feeding frenzy (as if he hadn't gone out of his way to specify in that speech that it was only the initial invasion that was complete);
• Especially after spending years smearing anyone who acknowledged terrorist threats as "fear-mongers" and insisting that uprooting dangerous Third World dictators just "creates more terrorists" (newsflash: 9/11 happened before we went into Iraq--they already hated our guts, and cowering to them won't change that).

But this is Obama we're talking about--the guy who got away with proudly sitting in the pews of a racist lunatic for 20 years, appointing a Marxist bigot and "9/11 Truther" to one of the most powerful positions in Washington, being close friends with cop-killing left-wing terrorists, publicly embracing racist voter fraud groups (ACORN), marching down the street with hate groups and refusing to prosecute armed Black Panthers caught on tape openly intimidating voters at the polls.

There are no rules or consequences for this president. He can freely advocate handing Afghanistan back to the Islamic terror-sponsors who facilitated 9/11. He can enthusiastically endorse violent, racist rent-a-mobs of lawless Marxist fanatics who desecrate our flag, trash our troops and sing "Fuck the U.S.A." He can break every campaign promise, tear the Constitution to shreds and utterly bankrupt the country to pay off his partisan allies...and anyone who objects is crucified as a racist.

Incidentally, it was Obama's stunningly indecisive and incompetent handling of this war that needlessly dragged it out and made it far more costly, bloody and difficult to recover from.
