The First Coast Tea Party has many opportunities for you to learn and become involved in this grassroots movement. From standing up for freedom in your neighborhood, having tea with a bunch of grandma guerillas, falling on your knees in prayer for our country, waving signs on the streets of your town or learning about our National Defense - you must find something that will help you be a more informed citizen. This is the place where we tell you the truth and we share the information gathered by many of your fellow tea party members. Take a look and see what "suits your fancy:"

Tea with Grandmas: Meeting Thursday, August 19 from 1:30 until 3:00. Open to all Grandmas who want to be informed, learn how to activate their citizenship and "kick some you know what in DC!"

Praying for Patriots: Meet every Thursday at Noon at the First Coast Tea Party office, 11437 Central Parkway. If you want to be a part of this group who prays for our country, its leaders and other specific issues/people, please join us. No RSVP needed.

Welcome Home a Hero - This Friday night the First Coast Tea Party and others in the community will welcome home Corporal Tyler Southern between 5 and 6pm. He lost both legs and an arm in Afganistan. We are lining the streets for Tyler's return. The Rollin Thunder Motorcycle's are meeting him at 295 and escorting him to his home in Mandarin. His driver will bring him down 295 onto Old St. Augustine Road and he will turn down Caron to Julington Creek Rd. and then take a left on Gathering Oaks Drive. The final address is: 5311 Gathering Oaks Court E., Jacksonville, Florida 32258. Bring your flags and make signs welcoming him home, thanking him and wishing him a happy birthday which is this Saturday. He will turn 21.

Taking it to the Streets - Pop Up Tent Tea Party this Saturday, August 21 from 1:00 until 3:00 in the Kernan Shoppes, 12210 Atlantic Boulevard and Kernan Blvd. Bring your signs and help us get the word out to encourage people to vote and to join the Tea Party. Educational Night:The Issue of National Security - September 7th - Come hear Dr. James Carafano from the Heritage Institute as he share with us the truth about our protection against a missile attack. James Carafano advocates improving both our infrastructure and our long-range missile detection capabilities to prepare ourselves for such an attack.
