Just as a reminder to all that early voting for the Primary Election began today and ends next Saturday on August 11th.  Avoid the crowds of fellow Patriots on the 14th and cast an early vote.

We have completed some candidate research and it can be accessed by clicking on the "Candidate Research" tab at the top of the page on the FCTP web site. It is our hope to continue with the research efforts and add more information before the General Election.. If you like research and have some time to help please contact me and I will get you involved in this critical work.

Roma, my question, if you read it, is does his background include "doing a lot of work for the government"... (note the word "for") aka, was his business leadership working in private business under contract with the government, thus funded by the taxpayer?   I will be researching each of the companies he lists as being his leadership experience.

Also, he took a company back from the brink of bankruptcy and then SOLD his interests???  I mean, so many have complained  about Mr. Romney doing that same thing...are you okay with Black having done the same thing?

I would say .. the "research" needs to be very objective or it can be interpreted as an endorsement... and if more 'research' is posted on one candidate over another, same deal... Slippery slope.

And just a brief note.. Bob Black recently sent out a campaign mailer which arrived in my mailbox.  The man has Fannie Mae spelled incorrectly!  duh  (he has it as Fannie May)...  and it looks like his background includes doing alot of work for the government?  Getting rich off the taxpayer?  I will need to research with a closer look...

Leanne, keep up the good work!

I really need to get to work.. But, we applied for a 501c4 that is different than a 501c3. The IRS has delayed acceptance to most all Tea Parties around the country as well as many conservative organizations so we are not singled out or alone in this quest.  And I have never seen a penny from AFP only from dedicated Tea Party members who help us keep the doors open and your/our Tea Party alive. We did not have to reapply we are simply in limbo.....Now moving right along. :)

John, 501c are social orginizations that are prohibited from endorsing candidates, lest they forfeit their tax exempt status. No endorsing. That is why IRS is doing all this investigation. Like last year when FCTP endorsed Hpgan, doing so puts status at risk. To lose status would mean funds would dry up from. AFP the number one source of funding for tea party.

whoops dang today is a day for keystroke errors. If I keep it up I will beat my own record. That was August 2010 that we applied.

Office number683-3945, email: Admin@firstcoastteaparty.org   hours: Mon-Thurs 10-3.

Amanda: applied for 501c4 status in August 2012, still being asked questions. The IRS is a challenge.

Two Committee meetings today. Both voted 4 to 3 t move 296 forward. Another Committee vote tomorrow and then the full Council next Wednesday.. Just an update.

Dear lord I agree with John. In the US House race in District 4 he rates only one candidate as a Constitutional conservative regarding abortion. Does that mean this candidate supports the Constitution as ruled in Roe v Wade? It is meanngless. And the reason FCTP doesn't endorse candidates is that then contributions would no longer be tax deductible. AFP won't give it can't write it off.

John, I am aware of your comment.. If you have found incorrect data, then I would appreciate the specifics. Thanks, have to run.

Hum,, first let me comment on this "Suppression" thing. The work on the Candidate Research was done by some awesome Volunteers who gave of their time to put this together. They had a template, a research format and gave it their very best. There was no suppression of information. I have to say that while I was notdirectly a  part of that group as I am not good at reseach and my plate if full I am a part of the overall as I am ultimately responsible. The buck stops here.  I will not suppress your comments, thank goodness we still have the freedom of speech and I respect the fact that people have different thoughts, ideas, talents, experience and educational levels.  It is perfectly fine to have a different opinion and to post additional informational links out here for others to use. We will add additional information to the link later today and in the future as it becomes available.  Again I offer to you the opportunity to work with the Candidate Research Volunteers to add your knowledge. My main point in responding is to defend the work done by some very good people who stepped up and gave it their best shot. I do not question their motives or their integrity.  We are all volunteers in this battle for America.  We are all trying and many are setting aside their personal lives to give to the cause. They have my utmost respect.

Roma, this is what the TP does.. it allows discussion, even if we don't agree all the time..

It is what will make the difference in 2012.  Keep talking, keep listening, keep researching and keep on questioning everyone and everything... America is depending on each of us.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
