City Council Meeting Last Night

I attended the meeting last night but could not get there until after 5:00pm due to work. I wanted to speak out but did not know the procedure to do so. Is the meeting on Sept 28th to vote on the final bill or will we have a chance to speak again against higher property taxes? Donna

Hello Donna,
You have to fill out a card when you sign in. The cards are given to the city council, and they call on people to say their piece. When they call you, you have 3 minutes to say what you want to say. I don't know if the cards are still there if you come late, but I would bet if you call your city council person, they can tell you that or maybe arrange it ahead of time so you don't lose your chance to be heard.
