Can we prevent taxpayer union monies from supporting demonstrations against our tax saving measures?

With unions framing bargaining as a civil rights issue, how can we combat using our tax dollars for this?  If public worker unions are included in this $30M pouring into demonstrations against we the people, or better defined as we the tax payers (whose money is being squandered), then we should have a voice in limiting the bargaining money to non-tax funds.

Thanks for the answers.  I did review the video.  I had worked administering union health insurance benefits for a few years, so am familiar with private sector unions, just not public sector ones.  My goal in questioning funding is not to stifle anyone's right to free speech.  I love Rush too much to have anyone stifled, and he'd be the first to go if that happened. 

 

In FL, teachers cannot strike even though they are part of a union, but they do have representation through contract negotiation, similar to us on other bills as through lobbyists.  And we all have our votes.  Sad some people play voter fraud, but it's another one of those realities we can only hope to win over some day, also through proper legislation.

 

I can live with negotiating and lobbying, just not using tax dollars to transport, feed, provide horns to, etc. for persons who are paid by us to demonstrate against us.  I also don't like our funding to go to people unrelated to the union, but who will also be showing up to rally the ranks.  I think this should be otherwise funded.  Because much of what is going on in WI is legislated, they have representation. Kind of like our President said shortly after he took office, “yo­u lost...get over it...".  They need to get their people back to the polls and fight a fair fight.

 

I like the idea of putting up a deposit to clean up the messes they keep leaving.  We'd be fined if we did the same thing.  Anyway, just hoping for some dialog that might provide a solution.  I've written my congressmen, so that's probably all I can do for now.

They (the state and local governments) could require a bond to insure that the clean-up and repair of public buildings, etc. would be repaired and cleaned up.  The bond would be secured before any demonstrations by the thug unions would start.
