Campaign Signs Stolen "Again" Coincidence?

Well here we go again. . .

Matt Schellenberg signs have been pulled up and discarded again; 12 large signs this time but we only found 7.  We found these 7 signs behind the Bealls department store located on the corner of San Jose and Orange Picker.

A police report was filed, again.

I am tired of this reprehensible behavior from grown adults that are purportedly pillars of our community.  When will we stand together and denounce such behavior?  No matter which candidate you support, this is plain and simple WRONG.

It is ironic that Jack Webb stated in a Times Union interview that the Schellenberg campaign people were confrontational and he had no idea who was responsible for Schellenberg signs being stolen, yet Webb signs remain whilst Schellenberg signs disappear.

An excerpt from a March 22, 2007 Times Union article:

http://jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/032207/met_8793614.shtml

"City Council District 6 candidate Sean Reichard woke up at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Election Day, to find about 50 of his campaign signs thrown in his yard and an unsigned note that told him, "Better luck next time, Sean."

It seems too coincidental, in my opinion,  that the 2007 election cycle when Webb was running against Sean Reichard, Reichard's signs were either destroyed or pulled up as the common denominator is Jack Webb.

We, the Schellenberg campaign, have acted with civil dignity, respect for the opposing candidate, and restraint when faced with egregious behavior.  If this incident does anything, it demonstrates a pattern that seems to follow Mr. Webb.

Odile is entitled to her freedom of speech.  She expressed her feelings to my analysis and that is not offensive or rude, it is what it is.  However, this is where I apply the statement in my post, "when will we citizens stand up and denounce such behavior?"  If such behavior is just dismissed as "it is part of the game," where does the "game" end.  If running for office, one should expect such actions, why is it limited at just political office, why not when applying for a job, searching for a house, or any other such activity when more than one person desires the goal?

This is what I ask Ms. Gracey.

The signs were the large 4x4 signs that required a post hole to be dug.

Roma, many of the signs that were stolen during the primary and last night were on Sleiman properties.

Does anyone have any of the cameras used by hunters for surveillance? These are simple, inexpensive and motion activated.  They store pictures on a SD card and more costly ones are low light or IR.  The camera can be placed up in a tree or on a roof top or other obscure place and would be focused directly on a sign.  It would photograph anyone coming near the sign.  Place it near the sign and catch them for a nice close-up but risk losing the camera too.  Hide it well !

You just keep putting them back up with donations and have volunteer's stand guard with the police on speed dial, do not confront them.  Take shifts, u must go to extremes as they do or u will loose.

The officer that took the report stated they do not check for finger prints on signs.

Dust them for prints and then check them against the WEBB GOON SQUAD!

Here is our Talking Point:

WEBB GOON SQUAD TAMPERS WITH ELECTION SIGNS--AGAIN!

Please send me the pics as files so that I can add them to the Electronic Political Speech Sign--it's going to be "electrifying"!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
