Campaign Signs Stolen "Again" Coincidence?

Well here we go again. . .

 

Matt Schellenberg signs have been pulled up and discarded again; 12 large signs this time but we only found 7.  We found these 7 signs behind the Bealls department store located on the corner of San Jose and Orange Picker.

 

A police report was filed, again.

 

I am tired of this reprehensible behavior from grown adults that are purportedly pillars of our community.  When will we stand together and denounce such behavior?  No matter which candidate you support, this is plain and simple WRONG.

 

It is ironic that Jack Webb stated in a Times Union interview that the Schellenberg campaign people were confrontational and he had no idea who was responsible for Schellenberg signs being stolen, yet Webb signs remain whilst Schellenberg signs disappear.

"City Council District 6 candidate Sean Reichard woke up at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Election Day, to find about 50 of his campaign signs thrown in his yard and an unsigned note that told him, "Better luck next time, Sean."

 

It seems too coincidental, in my opinion,  that the 2007 election cycle when Webb was running against Sean Reichard, Reichard's signs were either destroyed or pulled up as the common denominator is Jack Webb.

We, the Schellenberg campaign, have acted with civil dignity, respect for the opposing candidate, and restraint when faced with egregious behavior.  If this incident does anything, it demonstrates a pattern that seems to follow Mr. Webb.

Debbie, where is district 6 (sorry, didn't take the time to look it up)?  We are getting pretty good responses in Arlington.  Are you in a district that wants the downtown to be the focus?  If you are, Brown has said his priority (and he seems to have many...not that people are noticing) a week ago was the downtown!

The Sleiman Bros. property sounds good esp. if they have surveliiance cameras and if capture an offender post it at local locations with "Have u seen this person(s)"?

We place our campaign signs on our vehicles, we hve. a tow flat bed trailer with very large signs and move it to different locations (lock the tongue) the camera idea is great and then display the photo of the person(s) at the area shops, ask "Have u seen this person"? We made signs with the pictures and stood on corners, u only hve. to stand on a corner for an hour in shifts. Ofcourse yard signs at every yard on the busiest streets is a perfect location also.

Friends, yesterday was an eyeopener in how our county electorate is feeling.  Volunteers, sadly only a few, showed up in district 6 to walk for our candidates.  We went ONLY republican households and more than half of those homes firmly stated they were voting for Brown.  People are once again being swayed by the "American Idol" presentation style campaigning that gave us this president.

The out-of-state unions,' Organizing for America's, and MoveOn.org's aggressive interference in the Jacksonville election on behalf of Alvin Brown and Jack Webb, needs to be highly publicized.  Otherwise, it will be very hard to combat the magnitude of it with only the Tea Party's, Republican Party's, and Republican candidate's volunteers getting the word out.  Word of this needs to be gotten out there in the social media, state-wide and national conservative organizations with websites and mass e-mail capability, big name conservative talk radio hosts, and local talk radio hosts. Plus, some strong ads need to be run.  Others in the state need to realize that if this can be mass-imported into Jacksonville from out of state, it can also be brought into any county in Florida. This won't be just happening in Florida, either. They're gearing up for it in many other states, as well.

Their game is intimidation, harassment, and frightening people into staying home on election day---in order to suppress the conservative vote---and to haul a multitude of Democrat progressives to the polls and tell them how to vote. And they will be back here in force in the run-up to the 2012 national election on Nov. 6th.  Florida will be a key state that Obama will need to win, so we can expect our state to be a battleground for electoral votes. And, we need to start getting ready for it now.

The above is information FCTP members need to know before filing a formal complaint regarding elected officials in Florida, so they will be able to correctly cite the offense they believe to have been committed. 

When formal complaints have been filed against an elected official, they become public information and that information can be obtained from the public agency in charge of those records. For example:  the Florida Bar Association website allows the public to access information about disciplinary records of all licensed attorneys in the State of Florida.

I'm surprised that Webb, who is supposedly a Christian, is allowing his supporters to steal his opponent's signs. Apparently his Christianity doesn't extend to fair play during an election.
