BREAKING NEWS: Cap and Trade via EPA passed.

Vote on the motion to proceed was 47 to 53.
Six Democrats and all 41 Republicans voted Yes.

Senator Rockefeller said that he was voting Yes because “I don’t want EPA turning out the lights on America.” 53 of his Democratic disagreed.

They have voted to give EPA the authority to turn out the lights on America. They must now take full responsibility for the economic consequences of EPA regulation of greenhouse gas emissions.

Ladies and Gentlemen: The Government once again has taken control of one more piece of your life. Your freedom is at stake.

Watch your lights bill soar - President Obama said if this passed that would happen. You believe him, don't you?

Tell others to join the Tea Party Movement and get busy unseating everyone who voted for this bill and for the healthcare bill. Immigration and Financial "reform" are next.

There's an old saying about the people from a progressive banker who supported the communist overthrow of Russia's Czar Nicholas, "control the people's money and you control the people". It's all part of the global warming scheme to redistribute the wealth from western civilizations (those evil capitalist countries who use the most energy) to backward third world countries, impoverished beause of their inability to set up similar govts. and embrace freedom and liberty because of marxist dictators and communist systems. The Korean nation is a good example, South Korean people, while not a premier example of capitalism, thrive with more freedoms and a working economy. North Korea is ruled by Kim Jong IL, ruthless communist whose people are starving while he lives a life of luxury at the people's expense with no freedom even to immigrate to other systems. It's all a part of the grand marxist scheme to punish success and wealth and reward those won't accept personal responsibility or can't because of oppressive govt. systems. Cap and Tax, global taxes, U.N. aid, foreign aid, etc. are all examples of propping up the failures of socialist govts. to succeed as viable nations because communism/socialism breeds inequity, oppression, dependence and failure to achieve. It's the same path the Obumbler administration is pointed, his agenda is to reward failure of achievement with the success of the wealthy and responsible.

If we have to use "fire places" to heat in the winter will this also be controlled by the EPA?? No idea on how cooling could be done. We need to hear why the elected voted for this.

Let's get this clear folks, THIS WAS NOT A VOTE ON CAP AND TRADE! This was a vote on an amendment by Lisa Murkowski of Alaska to STRIP THE POWER OF THE EPA TO REGULATE CARBON DIOXIDE and return it to Congress. A YES vote was for her amendment and all Repub. and 6 Dems. voted in favor of the bill. The DemocRATS in the Senate voted against themselves since the EPA has authority WITHOUT CONGRESS' approval to enact rules and they abdicated their own power of authority to Obumbler and the EPA. It's time to pressure the Senate to STOP CAP AND TRADE NOW. Once the voters can overturn Congress and vote Daddy O out, the people can force Congress to take back the power of the EPA. VOTE OUT OBAMUNISM IN '10 and VOTE THE OBAMANATION OUT in '12.

This amendment was to rescind the EPA's action of stating that they had authority to classify CO2 as a harmful "greenhouse" gas; subsequently this action gives them the authority to create regulations and such to control the amount of CO2 emissions. Now the EPA is free to initiate new rules/guidelines for any ACTIVITY that emits CO2, which amounts to EVERY ACTIVITY. All of us will now see higher prices at the grocery store, utility bills, gas, etc.
