Of couse Obama made the Tucson tragedy about himself.  And yes, the celebratory tone of the memorial seemed odd with those murdered Saturday still unburied. All of us concerned about what America could look like after eight years of Obama should ask themselves one question: who do we have who can take on Obama in a debate? Who do we have who can fire up conservatives the way he fires up liberals? Who do we have who can call out Obama when he starts making vague allegations about civility that make no sense? If we don't have someone who can do those things, BHO is going to be re-elected.

Remember: we tried nominating a really boring guy to take on a telegenic and charismatic president in 1996 and it didn't work.

Congressman Peter King, Republican from New York, talks with Laura about his bill that would make it illegal to carry a gun within 1,000 feet of a federal official, some of the confusing rhetoric Obama used last night, and why the media's reaction would have been totally different had the shooter been a Muslim.

 

Much of the nation has been focused on the tragedy in Tucson while the world continues to turn. This week, China pulled a stunt by testing out their new stealth jet fighter while our Secretary of Defense was in town, and jobless claims rose again. It's time to get back to holding our politicians accountable for getting America back on track.
