Be wary – This crisis will NOT go to waste

Before we talk about the historic credit rating down grade  – let us stop for a moment and pray for the American soldiers who lost their lives last night in Afghanistan.  There are hundreds of thousands of families waiting today to hear if their son, daughter, wife, husband, mother or father were among the casualties.  When and if they receive a knock on their door, we pray for peace that passes all understanding as they hear the news that will change their lives forever.

All American’s lives will be changing too due to the news we received late last night.  When America’s credit downgrade occurred, a text message alert appeared on my phone.  My first thought was this:  Obama will not let this crisis go to waste.  This is not good in many ways.

Some will say Obama will suffer for this downgrade and this will cost him his Presidency.  Maybe I’ve become cynical but my fear is what this Administration and the Super Committee in Congress will do now.  We are already VERY concerned about this un-Constitutional Committee and the power it will hold over our lives.  A handful of people will now declare the cuts that need to be made regarding our spending.  What we think needs to be cut and what they think needs to be cut are vastly different.

My brother-in-law is a former editor of the Washington Times.  He retired and was writing a column for our tea party titled “Washington Speaks.”  He became ill and has not been able to write.  In his column, he wrote about the language Washington uses.  He said when Washington speaks – watch their words as they are not the same as America speaks.  Here are just a few examples:

Words

DC’s Definition

America’s Definition

Defense Cuts

Weaken our position as a world military force and hang out with the UN

Cut waste and unnecessary wars while keeping America strong and safe from evil attacks from our enemies

Entitlement Cuts

Social Security and Medicare recipients

Those who have lived off the government welfare system and have the ability to work and take care of themselves.

Regulation

This is needed to protect the American public from out of control businesses who care about profits and not about you

Strangulation of businesses causing loss of profit for businesses and loss of jobs for individuals

We must be very careful and wary of what we hear coming from the White House and Congress and the liberal media who hangs out with them.  We are very sure the Super Committee will not cut from America’s column above.  They will instead use the DC column to make the cuts and will also raise taxes.

Cut, Cap and Balance which passed in the House was the only bill that would have eliminated this crisis.  Harry Reid would not even let it come to the Senate floor.  Harry Reid will go down in history as the worst sidekick to the worst President in America’s history.

This crisis will give Obama one more excuse to continue his deadly agenda on America.   If you are unsure what we mean by “agenda” please join us on Sunday, August 21 for a special movie viewing of the movie The Agenda: The Grinding Down of America.  You can purchase your tickets here http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1990745373

If you do not live in North Florida, please go to http://agendadocumentary.com/ and order a copy for your personal viewing at home.  It will put everything in perspective and will give you the tools to spread the truth about how Washington Speaks and how they refuse to hear America speak.

God bless the families of those who lost their lives, God bless each of you and God bless America.

Don't you think this would make a terrific front page story for our "beloved" Florida Times Union? I say that viciously...

The Nazi Death Camps and Extermination Sites, did they have local government input and citizens working at these establishments of horror?

Here is a letter of explanation relative to the preceeding "LOCAL PLITICAL SHENANAGANS", from a friend (anonymous) who experienced the drunken excesses of our local city government.

It is to protect property owners in the historic districts from having boarded up or in process of being rebuilt structures torn down at the whim of the Gestapo, the shadow people who push these things through at The Dept. of code enforcement who seem to be accountable to no one.

My house that I lost in August 2007 after a Herculean effort to finish rebuilding it is an example, that was outside the historic district and therefore the protections are much trickier to document.  Joel MacEachern the city historian, who handles this had a new program that they had finally put through in 2007 that was just to late  coming in my case.  The idea is not tax breaks at all, I paid full tax throughout the ordeal and now pay 5 X the tax on the raw property as I paid with the house, sheds, shop, and bird pens standing on the 1 1/2 acre tract.

I have worked in the historic zones on these buildings performing architectural restorations since the inception of R.A.P. in 1973, then it was only old Riverside and Avondale no Springfield or San Marco.

In 1998 I worked over in Springfield when they were pushing to tear down boarded up structures in the historic district after 4 yrs.   Part of the ordnance you are referring to was somewhat of a backlash 9 yrs. later to that law.  That law never seemed to be enforced which was a bone of contention.  I can personally attest to going into and surveying for renovation a house at about 219 E. 4th St. that had been boarded up for some yrs. in 1989 when we surveyed the interior/exterior.  It had been broken into and vandalized.  That house sat boarded up till app. 2007 when it was finally opened up

and renovated.  It is now a very stately 2 story, somewhat modes house that would have gone down if Code Enforcement had been allowed to follow their usual vindictive path unchecked by any city entity and approbated by the Office of General Counsel.  They have mistakenly torn down several beautiful family homes especially in Springfield due to address glitches.  One owner returned from several months in England to find instead of a fine 2 story home where he was raised a vacant lot.  This has happened on numerous occasions due to their tendency to make a rush to judgement.  You want wasted taxdollars do a cost analysis sometimes to see how many millions have been quietly paid out in the last several years do to their unchecked and costly impulsiveness.  It barely gets mentioned when these payments of reimbursement and loss are made to the families who suffer.

To the Honorable members of the Jacksonville city council,

I brought this to your attention when then council president Clark held a town Hall meeting in Dist. 4 with councilman Redman. Does anyone know the current figures and are we now going to expand these zones? 4 years ago.

Sincerely,
John Nooney

August 16, 2007 Column: Ronald L. Littlepage Tax breaks for fixer-uppers are going to riverfront elite
Author: Ronald L. Littlepage Page: B-7
Article Text:Good ideas can go sour and people who have much usually get more. Here are examples:In 1992, Florida voters approved a constitutional amendment that gave local governments the authority to give property tax breaks to encourage the preservation of historic buildings. Two years later, the Jacksonville City Council passed an ordinance putting that process in motion. One of the ordinance's sponsors, Harry Reagan, recalls that the goal was "modest restoration and renovation" of houses in struggling historic neighborhoods like Springfield and Riverside.Homeowners who qualified would be exempt from paying city property taxes on the value added to their homes by the renovations. The exemption would last for 10 years. It was a good idea for helping to preserve Jacksonville's past and to restore older neighborhoods. But, my oh my, modest has become, in some cases, ridiculous.According to records provided by the Duval County Property Appraiser's Office, 345 properties will qualify for historic rehabilitat! ion exemptions for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1.The total value of those exemptions is $44.3 million. If that value were on the tax rolls, it would produce $375,000 in city property taxes next year, money that might just be useful, considering the current budget crunch.Topping the list with the biggest single exemption for historic rehabilitation -- $2.2 million -- is San Jose Country Club. That's right, a private country club. But that's not the only case where this deal has gone astray.A four-bedroom, five-bath home with 5,000 square feet on the riverfront in Avondale is getting an exemption worth $618,000.Another Avondale riverfront home -- this one with six bedrooms and five baths and 8,000 s

If I know anything about this muslim-marxist administration, I would guess that the entire weekend was spent by Holder and his attackdogs "building cases" against the leaders of S&P for political retaliation.  The other side of the coin is, the S&P cronies did just what Hussein and Holder wanted to further destroy this country.

Billie, as usual i went off on my own wee tangent because i have been emailing, twittering and calling Congress for over two weeks on the debt ceiling, deficit mess, another crisis.

The GOP needs to get their act together and it looks like they may be finally headed that way. It has been hard for the TRUE conservatives to get in their heads that the Progressives will lie, cheat and steal anyway they can. The Conservatives like several people stated months ago here at FCTP community, we must do the same thing, but not with the lying, cheating and stealing but using the same means via twitter, facebook, social networking, internet, news media etc. and they are finally moving in that direction thank goodness. *sigh* Communication is the key with the Truth and the Facts.

With that said, we need to as you stated in the beginning of another wonderful, informative post, we all must stop for a moment, a moment ever day and pray and think about our American brothers, sisters and families in the military and their great lost, many difficulties they face. Because without their courage, their sacrifices we would not have the great country we have today, or be able to enjoy the liberties and freedoms we still have. We all must reach out in prayer, in thoughts and support in anyway we can, to touch their lives and lighten their load. They have made it all possible because of their honor, the oath they took and their commitment to defend and protect our country and its' people. They are our heroes.

You said it very well: God bless the families of those who lost their lives, God bless each of you and God bless America.

Dear Ms. Sabrina Wheeler; A great time to start is Today.  Pick a relevant issue, study it, and act upon it in an effective manner.  I would recommend your local government, the city council.  There are a number of bills and pertinent issues that we all need to address, quickly and thoroughly.  There are upcoming bills that want to "give" admitted successful companies taxpayer dollars for no good apparent reason.  Enjoy the day.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
