Another Exciting Expansion of the Government--Aimed at Keeping Us Safe?

So...after being subjected to a tax increase (and it is an increase, no matter what some paid pundits claim), getting our "choice" of being electronically stripped or physically groped in the name of not wanting to point fingers, and asked to buy-in that life is really much better now than it was 6-8 years ago...

Welcome to the new, expanded responsibilities of the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). I'm not Ivy-league educated, but based on its name, ICE seems like it would have some pretty straight-forward areas of concern: immigration and customs and the enforcement of--the law? Well I was certainly wrong. ICE is now actively engaged in closing down internet sites. It appears that the closures have to do with sites that are "violating copyright laws" so there have been closures of music downloading sites and bootleg good sites.

While I'm not an advocate of violating copyright laws, I just am not quite sure what these issues have to do with Homeland Security. And while our Homeland Security agents are busy running down these sites, what they are not doing is enforcing current immigration laws, securing our borders and ensuring that expired visas & illegal workers are being identified and dealt with. The method with which the sites are being closed down also needs to be reviewed, and quickly. It appears that the site owners are not contacted prior, have no opportunity to seek counsel, show they are operating with the law, etc...so no due process, and illegal search and seizure.

When is it going to stop Our freedom is seriously under attack, and we need to continue to cry out to our elected officials. If they won't listen, we need to get them out of office.
