America's Dysfunctional Political Parents: The Debt Deal

We are greatly saddened by the Washington establishment on both sides of the aisle (and in the White House) by the so-called Debt deal.  They have once again played politics with the American public and used us as game pieces to continue business as usual. 

 

The behaviors in DC remind us of children with no boundaries who destroy a family to get their own individualist ways.  Children who steal your credit card and use it for their shenanigans are no different than our leaders in DC.   President Obama said, “Let me remind you this debt ceiling pays for the money we’ve already spent.”  We ask you to think about that reasoning.  Let’s spend and then raise the debt limit afterwards. 

 

Reality is this:  They spent because they did not have a budget (because they did not pass one).  Children do not like budgets as it restrains them from spending.   That is exactly why they are kicking and screaming about a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Here are the facts: 

• They used our credit card for a spending spree.  They ruined our credit.  Now WE have to pay the bill.  This is no different than a dysfunctional family who bails out the out of control child, slaps them on the wrist, and tells them not to do it anymore.  The child agrees sheepishly.  The child is good for a short time and then…off the chain they go when you turn your back.  (In the USA, they spend behind the scenes through regulatory departments such as EPA, DOT, Department of Education, etc. through grant money and other non-transparent ways).  Is it spending if you don’t see it until it’s time to raise the debt ceiling because then you see it?  Read that sentence again!
• If you do not fix the real, deep down issues of this dysfunctional family aka Nation, you will continue to repeat bad behavior again and again and the family aka Nation will no longer enjoy Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. 
• The irony of this … our children will inherit these simple-minded and weak-willed decisions by their parental politicians.  Then the creditor will come knocking on the door of the most innocent among us and the bill will be due.
• The spoiled children are running the country while we ignore the biggest threat facing this nation.  This is no way to run a family or a country.

We ask all Americans to do their homework on this compromise and understand the full impact it will have on their lives.  It is a big deal and should not be taken lightly.

We have faith in Grassroots America because they don’t have the keys to the Nation’s credit card, they are only able to see the bill, ask questions and pay for it!  They will do a great job of finding out the truth and a great job in the polls in November 2012.  We can see November from our house!

After listening to our elected officials who are pushing something through just to keep our credit rating, the average citizen has been agonizing about the outcome because "Bully" president has threatened the seniors, retired military, medicare just to name a few by saying they would not get paid.  I am neglected our active military.  Senior citizens paid for their social security, medicare, retired and disabled military earned theirs and this president says he is not going to pay them without an agreement.  Can't believe the unmitigated gall of this Tyrant.  We need to replace him.  In addition, when you look at the cuts you will notice no changes for Congressional Members.  They maintain better insurance,better pay and each of them I wrote as was requested never  responded to my letters and we are to believe they represent us.  What a joke.

The real reason we are a dysfunctional country is that enough of us have been fooled into voting an imposter, illegal person as the president of our country.  Not only is he an athiest, but a marxist, communist. Never will be we a free country again if he stays president for another term.

Why is it that Obama thinks it is okay to give GM bond holders 20% back on their borrowed money

and not do the same to China and Japan and the "to big to fail" banks?  He spends $4 Trillion since taking office and then turns around and says we are out of money and threatens seniors and the military and wants $2.4 Trillion more.  The give banks money at 0% (THE FED) with one hand and then pays 3.0+% with the other for the Treasury's needs.  Pretty nice ponzi scheme and arbitrage going for your political Wall Street contributors.
