ALERT TO A VERY DANGEROUS BILL BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL; Bill 2011-368

I AM TAKING THE LIBERTY OF PULLING THIS FROM THE EVER BANK BLOG, BECAUSE IT IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT THAT PEOPLE REALIZE WHAT IS GOING ON CURRENTLY AND THE NEED FOR PEOPLE TO BECOME INVOLVED.  THREE OR FOUR OF US CAN NOT STOP THIS FREIGHT TRAIN AND A COUNCIL MEMBER HAS LET US KNOW WE NEED TO SHOW UP IN REAL NUMBERS AND SPEAK (NOT JUST SPEAK BUT SAY THINGS THAT LET THEM KNOW WE KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON).  THE CURRENT CITY COUNCIL HAS NOT IDEA OF THE RAMIFICATIONS OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING.  PEYTON WILL BE GONE, AND THOSE WHO ARE STILL LEFT BEHIND WHO VOTE FOR THESE BILLS WILL BE LEFT TO ANSWER FOR THIS HORROR STORY.  THOSE WHO ARE LEAVING WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE BECAUSE THIS IS FAR TO UNSCRUPULOUS FOR THE TAX PAYERS TO TAKE IT LAYING DOWN.  PEOPLE WILL BE FURIOUS AND RIGHTFULLY SO.

 

For the few weeks I have received and sent messages hoping to help the cause I am disappointed that it is the same few people that give their all for the cause. Thank you Mr. White, Ms. Mc Bride, JR and JL. Im sure some are working behind the scenes but I thought the home page boasted over 300 members and I was expecting maybe something moregand. If we are ever to succeed at recalls in the future it can only be done with the masses responding to do so. I believe in the Tea Party and all that it stands for but it cant be just a few of us showing up and or carrying the load. We will lose every time.

 

Over time I too have received messages from Mr.C and he is most helpful but definitely out numbered.

I took the liberty of sharing your excellent comment with the Concerned Tax payers and they are active in all the bills you mentioned and have been doing a writing campaign to city officials hoping they get the message loud and clear.

This is only one thing I sent Council just this morning. I want them turning against the mayor if possible and this just helped because their power is removed once approved. Discontent and disruption among the council would be most advantageous to our cause.

Section 1. Further Authorizations. The Mayor, or his designee, and the Corporation Secretary and the Executive Director of JEDC, or his designee, are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement and all other contracts and documents and otherwise take all necessary action in connection therewith and herewith. The Executive Director of the JEDC, as contract administrator, is authorized to negotiate and execute all necessary changes and amendments to the Agreement and other contracts and documents, to effectuate the purposes of this Ordinance, without further Council action, provided such changes and amendments are limited to amendments that are technical in nature (as described in Section 2 hereof, and further provided that all such amendments shall be subject to appropriate legal review and approval by the General Counsel, or his designee, and all other appropriate official action required by law.

Section 1.  Execution of the Agreement. If the Agreement approved by this ordinance has not been signed by EverBank within ninety (90) days after the JEDC delivers or mails the unexecuted Agreement to EverBank for execution, then the City Council approval of the Project and authorization for the Mayor to execute the Agreement is automatically revoked, provided however, that the Executive Director of the JEDC shall have the authority to extend such ninety (90) day period in writing at his discretion for up to an additional ninety (90) days.
