The left is out in force with the stupid statement that we are suppressing voters by asking them to show ID.  This is outrageous which is not surprising because the left is always outrageous.  Read about it here:

In good faith, we are putting together a list of places you have to show your ID.  Would you please reply in the comments section of this blog and we will gather them together for a special video that will be sent virally.

Here's the first one sent in by Bartley -- "I have to show my license just to buy sudafed for my allergies. But not for voting! Hot dang! That makes total sense!"

I would assume they would require ID to pick up food stamps, medicaid, unemployment checks - oh well, apparently not.  Never mind!

Great idea...hope we can start a nationwide petition to make this a law!!! It's absurd that anyone can vote (or register to vote) without a picture ID.

Here's a few for your list...

1. doctor's office

2. Airline flight check in

3. pick up a prescription at a pharmacy

4. pick my granddaughter up at school

5. to return an item to a store, such as Steinmart or Target, without a receipt

6. cash a check or travelers check

7. access my safety deposit box, even though I've banked there for 8 years

8. insurance

I'm only too happy to provide my ID whever I'm asked...I can't believe that anyone should be allowed to vote without a picture ID...crazy...

Let's see, sometimes when I purchase things with a credit card, they actually ask to see picture ID to make sure that I am using my card--and  I appreciate that very much! I have always had to show it when voting, that or my voter's registration card. I have to show ID if whenever pulled over by the police, (been a long time, thankfully!). Sometimes they actually ask for it when I buy a bottle of wine (to which I also thank them!). I agree, the only resistance to this is if they are trying to get fraudulent votes, just like many of the votes that  got Obama elected.

Yesterday, I had to show Government issued ID at Walmart when I was returning an item I purchased there because I did not have my receipt. The left is full of Bull. They are for anything that will eliminate our way of life. 12 marines died last week in Afganistan so we can enjoy our freedom while morans here are doing everything they can to destroy us.

I have to show photo idea to cash any check at a bank I have been with for 30 years!    It is much more important to assure that I am a registered voter by using photo ID.    And it is NOT hard to get photo ID.

Once again the left is testing the waters to see how far they can push the rest of us to find ways to circumvent the election laws of this country.

They have only one reson to get people out to vote with no ID and that is to cheat.

If 8 days of early voting is not enough, for them, then it is not enough for any one else.

They have equal time and opportunity as anyone else.

How can it be discrimination when the law applies to all.

Buy then again they think they deserve special treatment.

I have to show a Military I.D. to access military bases. The only reason a person would want to avoid showing I.D. to vote is if they aren't legally eligible to vote; I.e., if they are an illegal immigrant. Sounds like the Justice Dept is preparing to adds a bunch of fraudulent voters to the rolls to ensure an Obama victory in 2012. What else is new. Just sayin'.

I have to show ID to get onto military installations and to purchase at a military installation.  I do NOT find this oppressive and certainly would NOT resent showing photo ID to VOTE.
